Loved this F&C restaurant . Very friendly young staff. Food look and taste nice quality. We will visit once again .
Very clean and staff were friendly, Fish was really fresh in a lovely light crispy batter and chips were excellent too,
Can't speak to the fish & chips themselves as I can't eat the batter, but my meal of baked cod filet with mashed potatoes and peas was excellent. I was apprehensive about the portion size but I ended up cleaning my plate! Service was lovely and the restaurant was bustling but not overly crowded on a Monday evening. Recommended without... More
Visited for lunch today and the cod and chips was the best I've had in ages. Freshly cooked food, friendly service and good value. Definitely worth a visit!
I chose here over other 'posher' restaurants, and was very pleased I did. Great chips. And the fish was really delicious. A lovely light batter, freshly cooked. Not a crumb left on my plate at the end of the meal, says it all, really. And the waitress was delightful.
If you want to eat good, fresh fish and you don't need the atmosphere of an elegant restaurant, you will feel very comfortable and well-hosted at Oban Fish and Chip shop. Also the Haggis (it was the first Haggis of our life) was very good.
We always go to Oban fish and chips when we visit the area .The service was excellent even though it was very busy we only had to wait ten minutes or so for a table We all had the haddock and chips our 13 year old son says they are the best chips ever and we agree .We all feel... More
Went in here as recommended by Rick Stein and also had a TA certificate of excellence 2013. Did not have high expectations as its a small restaurant behind a fish and chip shop but was a surprise. We had a friendly welcome by our waitress who obviously enjoys her job. The service was great and the fish was wonderful. I... More

The fish cakes were quite soggy and a little mushy, I expected more of a fish pattie or burger style. My husband had the famous fish and chips and... More
