Booked for dinner last week. Food was okay but a little bland and very over-priced for some dishes. It can be very noisy too which isn't good if you are looking for an intimate or quiet meal. I was here last year and it was much better. I hope this was just an off night and they haven't lowered their... More

Booked this restaurant for dinner during a recent visit to Aviemore based on the many recomendations. The standard of food was very good but we were seated in what could only be described as a pub, while paying full restaurant prices, and discovered that the restaurant area was being used for live music by mid evening and filling with audience... The menu choice is not massive but has some really interesting choices. The beef fillet was one of the best I have ever had and came with plenty of vegetables. My husband had the vegetarian options which were imaginative, decent sized portions - often vegetarian portions are quite small and very well priced. I disagree with previous comments about small... Four of us ate here after a big day on the hill (Braeriach) in May 13 We had to book and was on the second (8pm) sitting Staff were excellent, and knowledgeable This is not a place for cheap food- menu is limited but we all had different starters and main - all were really good - With two bottles... Nicely presented and atmospheric pub and with friendly efficient staff but thought the menu was pretty limited, and whilst the food was tasty it was very expensive and some of it seemed to be re-heated.

I was delighted with the food but must agree with many comments on here that the portions were a tad on the small side. My husband and I rarely have 3 courses but felt we needed to at this restaurant. We found the food to be of good quality and the service was fine. However I do find it strange... More

Great tasty food, quite expensive and I got a small portion but ive seen much bigger ones. Staff friendly. They play very annoying trendy 'music' all the time through speakers. If there is a band on you may get deafened. Check this before going.

Our daughter, partner and one year old daughter were visiting us from Edinburgh. We booked a lunch at the Old Bridge Inn, and we were very pleased that we did. The roast lamb was on the menu (Sunday 5th May) and the portions were large and reasonably priced. One of our party had A Smoked Salmon platter, and another had... More

We lunched here last Thursday on a recommendation. We were disappointed in the limited choice and presentaton of the food, which was not cheap. I chose the venison mince pie which was quite delicious but it only came with roast potatoes and they were very dry or even re-cooked? £10. My husband had the smoked salmon sandwich which was nice... I live fairly locally to this restaurant but dined there last night for the first time in ages. What a lovely surprise. There was an excellent choice of menu items, all delicious and served with a smile. The scallops and crab starter was beautifully presented and the risotto hiding under my duck was delicious. my friends all had fish, cod... More
