This was our first meal in Dublin after getting off our flight and getting settled in our hotel so needless to say we were starved. The waiter was excellent-- explaining different dishes to us and giving us plenty of advice on what to do and see in Dublin. My father even lost something while we were out and the waiter... More

We booked beforehand, and although it was very busy service was very good. We all tried a dish containing boxty and were unsure about it! Nice but not what we were expecting

Didn't book but managed to get in on a crowded Thursday night. Excellent Irish food, really helpful staff. Only complaint was that we ate too much but of course that was self inflicted. Good value about 35 euros a head including drink and tip.

My husband and I eat here every time we come to Dublin. We love the Gaelic Boxty, Chicken Boxty, and the Corned beef. Staff is always friendly. Food is fresh and delicious. Eat early to miss the crowds.

The food and the service was phenomenal. My (now) husband and I had our wedding rehearsal dinner here the night before our wedding. We booked our reservations for 40 people from TX over emails, needless to say, we were nervous that come the day of the dinner our reservation would just 'disappear' or we would have to wait to be... Came here on the recommedation of the locals. I had the Guinness sausages. They were spectacular!!! They did not serve Guinness. Which I would imagine would've against the law in Ireland but never the less the Beamish I could highly recommend! My partner had the 3 stew combo and they were also delicious. A good option in Temple bar if... More

Hi Travelora, we are so happy to read that you were pleasantly surprised with your trip to Temple Bar! As you noticed we do not serve Guinness however we do offer our customers a very good selection of Irish stouts and craft beers. We like to offer something a little different and have made sure that all the beers we... More

Four of us enjoyed a great dinner at Gallagher's Boxty House on May 27. Although we were early for our reservations, we were seated quickly and warmly. Our waiter was very friendly, helpful, and, in fact, entertaining. We ordered a variety of items from the menu, and all were good especially the corned beef and cabbage and the platter featuring... Thanks a million for taking the time to review us, we really appreciate your comments and are so happy that you really enjoyed the food and service. The apple & basil crumble is a fairly new addition to our menu and we realise that perhaps the combination of ingredients may not suit everyones taste, however, a lot of our customers... More

My partner and I came here in March on our first day in Dublin and were pleasantly surprised to find this place. From the outset the service was simply excellent. Unfortunately I didn't catch the name of the gentleman who served us but I remember he had quite a beard and a lovely disposition, if any customers are lucky enough... More

Came here after reading the reviews an was very disappointed. The chowder was the worst I've had in Ireland. It was very liquid and tasteless. The steak boxy was ok. Nothing special at all. The prices however were very hight and with no reason. I can't see myself coming back.

We pride ourselves in our chowder, so you can't believe how disappointed I am to read that yours was "watery". I just had one for lunch today and mine was great. But we don't always get it right so please accept my apologies. Regarding our prices I can not argue that we are cheap but neither is any of the... More

The restaurant was chosen for us by a friend visiting from Canada, who again got a recommendation from a friend. We had a choice of three place to go for lunch, and picked this one as it was nearest the bust stop from the airport (we were just popping over from Bristol for the day). It is right in the... More
