I usually love carrs cheese pasties and also the jalapeño and cheese but I tried the frozen ones and they taste like completely different pasties to the ones sold hot in there shops, they were not very nice at all and I won’t be eating...them again.More
We visited today and the food was amazing. Not only that, my partner left his wallet in there and didnt even realise he had lost it, a member of staff managed to track him down and even came and dropped it off for us. We...even offered to give her £20 for the inconvenience and she politely declined! Most places wouldn’t of even gone to the trouble so it was most appreciated!More
The price for a pasty that tastes of peppered potato, with absolute no flavour, charged at stupid prices. There are 10 time more flavour in the pound bakery pasty’s. I some time wonder if people in Bolton have no taste buds, or they are trying...to support a poor business!More
Our annual visit to Manchester and Carrs has been delayed due to covid as we usually visit Manchester at least once a year and always visit Carrs for snacks and to restock the freezer. Their original pasty, steak pasty and sausage rolls are superb and...on this occasion it was time to try their new Chicken ham and Leek. They never disappoint and great service as always for this local legend.More
We would just like to say thank you very much for your kind deliveries of pasties to the Covid testing centres. They have kept us warm through the cold days at the centres. Very much appreciated.
Me and my wife visited today and sampled a Carrs meat and potato and steak pasty. These cant be compared to cornish pasties as some reviewers have done. These are mass produced machine made pasties that are similar to pound bakery pasties. Cornish pastys are...hand made with different pastry and different ingredients. They are better quality than pound bakeries but only just. They are ok but nothing special. The filling in meat and potato is a kind of mash with a bit if mince in there if u look closely. I feel locals rave on about these pastys because there is nothing else to compare them too. Gregg's is just as nice.More
i cant rate these pastys enough. carrs pasties is always top of my list when visiting Bolton. no one makes pasties like carrs
Came to bolton.just to visit carrs pasties.took home some hot meat and potatoes psstirs meat pies and whist pies.as well as some frozen pasties pies and whist.od not tried the whist pies before.they were lovely.soft pastry and juicy meat.the meat and potato pasties are as...delicious as ever.i live away from Bolton now but as a child on Saturdays it was a real treat to walk around the market stalls with my mum dad and younger brother and sister.eating a hot pastie.mum dad and brother are gone now.but memories haven't.i hope to visit again after new year for my taste of homeMore
Absolutely lovely pasties. Great choice plus other things like sandwiches and drinks. I've knocked a point off because my husband's pastie was a bit cold but still tasted good.
had these at a 40th a few weeks back and was blown away!! Travelling back to Lancashire from York’s and the conversation again turned to the benefits of each County.....O know what Yorkshire can’t do!! So we detoured to Carr’s. Delightful!!! 6 bags of frozen...ones in the boot too !!!More
I love these pasties. If been eating these since I was a kid. Then they were on Halliwell Road. They now have a fantastic shop just down the road from an elderly relative we visit and she loves us bringing her a pastie when we...call. They taste the same with every batch so you know exactly what you are getting every time.More
Originally visited this shop because was intriguied by the fact that 3 generations had worked it. The Pasties were great, in fact I preferred them to a Cornish pastie. They also had a nice selection of cakes and good coffee. You could sit outside in...the sunshine or take your food away. The shop had a constant stream of customers and the staff were friendly and efficient and allowed me to take photos both inside and outMore
Every time we visit Manchester (at least once a year), we always visit Carrs for snacks and to restock our freezer. Their original pasty, steak pasty and sausage rolls are superb and put another popular outlet that serves similar produce to shame. This time we...found the newer shop on Manchester Road as we normally visit the original and smaller one on Halliwell Road.More
Popped in shop when visiting from down south. Everything was as it should be; friendly, knowledgeable, able and wow what a finished article. I loved it. Very very big fan
