While the other restaraunts neabry with high rankings were fully booked, we found free table without reservation in Le Bistrot des Halles - and didn't regret about this choise. The food was delicious and the service was good. The price was very reasonable given the quality of meal. Not something outstadning, but we could not complain about anything.

We went here for lunch during our stay in Dijon. The Food was very good and a great value for lunch - the best lunch during our 10 day trip to France. We did not have dinner here so cannot speak for that. The waitstaff was also very patient and accommodating. I accidentally ordered the wrong entree and they graciously... More

Food was great, look of place is modern, service is very attentive and efficient. We don't speak french and the waitress didn't speak English but we got through with lots of laughs. The food is traditional French and is really really good. Our ten year old who can be a times a bit picky loved his chicken meal. Desserts were... More

We liked very much this restaurant. Food was very good, service was kind and efficient and the atmosphere at launch time was relaxed and easy-going. Recommended without hesitation.

We don't speak much French and the staff spoke no English but we muddled through. We picked this bistrot for dinner because it was clearly popular with the locals. We sat outside on a lovely evening so we could take in the local atmosphere. Service was not fast but the food was tasty. All in all a good experience.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant for supper. I and my family (my wife and two children), all had fantastic meals. Three of us ate the beef bourguignon, which was large and I was surprised came covered in Pastry. English is not well spoken and the menu is only available in French so it is quite fun ordering if your French... More

Stopped here for lunch on a Friday just as the marketplace was closing down. We opted for the blackboard special prix fixe menu at 17E. The cassolette de fruits de mer was as good fish stew as you will find along the coast of Maine. The roast veal a la broche was tender and quite tasty. My wife had the... More

Crowded. Good food and local atmosphere. Recommended for those seeking a true French bistro. Little English and service not fast, but OK. Food quality was very good.

Dijon, not just the home of their famed mustard but of a truly Gastronomic town including there food festivals and Les Bistrot des Halles restaurant. Aside the local food market (which was designed by Gustav Effiel) you you find a charming restaurant with a 3 course daily special that could rival and 5 star in NYC or even Paris. Simple... More

It was a holiday and it was really late. Many restaurants were closed, so we felt fortunate to find something open. What a treat! I had a steak in a tarragon/vinegar sauce that was out of this world. My boyfriend had some kind of white fish in a cream sauce that was just as delectable. We realized the place was... More
