Description: La Truffiere restaurant is located in the heart of Paris. The Mouffetard district is a really good place to plan a romantic weekend ; la Truffière restaurant could work on it too. This 17th century restaurant has two dining rooms featuring divine gastronomical cuisine and impeccable service: the ground floor space has a lovely fireplace, and the stone-vaulted cellar where the air of quaint antiquity and the soft candlelight really makes effect. Christian Sainsard is the owner since 1984 and Jean-Christophe Rizet is the 1 Michelin Star Chef who has a creative cuisine with a deep respect for the products, with a special emphasis for the noble truffle. This restaurant was a great find. We enjoyed exemplary service and the atmosphere was very nice. Our food was delicious. I would love the opportunity to try this restaurant again.

We booked this place through Le Fourchette as a special treat for my wifes 70 th birthday as part of a Paris break. on arrival we were offered a glass of wine and the menu-we the 'menu iniation' @85 euros each. the first three items inc scorpion fish were nondescript and without flavour. The duck was acceptable, the cheeses excellent, the sweet... More

Look...if you want a plate with black truffles its going to cost a bit...get over it. The food and service is fantastic. If you want some thing different in Paris then I highly recommend this place. Everything was excellent and the entire night was simply flawless. Well done!!

This highly rated restaurant is long on presentation and not so good on the food. We ate here with friends recently and found the food overpriced and only fairly good. The main dining area is underground in stone lined rooms, with only modest air circulation. The wait staff hover. The food was OK but we spent a lot of time... More

The food was very good, although I didn't think it deserved a Michelin star, It is a very fancy restaurant, of the type where you have different waiters for different meals/drinks. I had a 30% internet discount (Lafourchette.com), and I still thought I paid too much.

A truly amazing dining experience. The food is extremely fresh and well prepared. I had the black truffle degustation and it was unbelievable! Their wine list can stand up to the best restaurants in town. Service is warm, yet precise and efficient. Will definitely come back!

I love the look and feel of this place and the service but found the food somewhat uninspiring. Three of us shared 3 entrees and 3 mains which were all good but the only time we were wowed was by the scallop mousse appetiser. Wine list was extensive and excellent and our waiter's knowledge of it was excellent. Overall, when... More

The main floor dining room was small, charming and intimate. It was a delightful restaurant for a special occasion. We chose the fixed prix menu with the wine pairing and each course was fully enjoyed. The service was attentive and we had a very nice evening. Everything was really perfect except it is very expensive. If it had not been... More

We went here for our aniversary dinner in 2011. The food was fantastic (7 courses), the wine list was incredible and the service was the best in Paris. I highly reccommend that you go if you are looking at this restaurant on tripadvisor.

A nice atmosphere, friendly staff, a truly impressive assortment of wines, and a great combination of flavors in the meals made for a memorable dining experience. You can blow the entire travel budget on one bottle of wine, or find a quality wine at an acceptable price. I think the sommelier did not approve of my choice, but after a... More
