A delightful family run restaurant, specialising in Alsace food. The husband and daughter were very friendly but the wife was only friendly towards people she knew. It was a very'meaty menu' but nevertheless an interesting choice. I had the Munster cheese and jacket potatoes with a small green salad. Felt as though I didn't need to eat for a week... More

This tiny place in town, run by husband(chef and server)and wife(front of house/server) team serves up large portions of good Alsace food in a cafe-type atmosphere. A salad with potatoes and a mound of strips of fried gammon is typical of the basic but generous fare. Snails in garlic and parsley butter were perfectly cooked and a good option if... More

It's only a small establishment down a side road in the centre of Carcassonne but as soon as you walk through the door, you get a warm welcome that gives a taste of what's to come. The quantities are generous which does not detract one iota from the quality of the food, which is second to none. The chef/proprietor makes... More

White pizza with sauerkraut onion and sausage circles was terrific, and the leftovers made an outstanding breakfast. The owner's english cleared up any potential misunderstanings. Cute red checkered dive interior, so yummy!

Friendly and welcoming. The quality of the food was great. Traditional home cooking. I had the Munster cheese which was Yummy!!! The portion sizes are huge and very reasonably priced. Worth a visit.

We enjoyed a lovely meal in this tiny but friendly restaurant. The husband and wife team made us very welcome, with the husband particularly keen to engage us in conversation about the recently deceased Margaret Thatcher and UK politics in general! The food is all freshly cooked by him and delicious and the atmosphere is warm and informal. There is... More

It is a family run Alsatian restaurant in which he is kind and pleasant and she was ok once she saw the tip. Anyway, the food is abundant and good. The Munster cheese with potatoes is delicious. The choucroute is really good as well. Be prepared to eat a lot.

This husband and wife team have a cosy Resto in the Bastide St Louis quarter. We found them because they were open today (Sunday) - that it itself is worthy of note as apart from the Medieval Quarter there are so few restos open on Sundays and holidays. We ate Baeckeofe, a great traditional stew from the Alsace region of... More

We visited this restaurant based on previous TA comments and were only disappointed that we left it til our last night in Carcassonne to go. We were greatly warmly on a cold and blustery night and seated at our reserved table...only a few tables so best to book. Whilst it took a little while to be given a menu, the... More

Friendly welcome from the owner to this small traditonal style bistro. The menu is simple, traditional french food , from mainly the Alsace region. Set menus available , the portions are generous , the food, while tasty, gives the feel of eating at Grandma's house and lacks the presentation skills of a professional. could be perfect for a cheap heavy lunch...
