We went here based on tripadvisor reviews and we were very happy with our experience. We were lucky to dine there on a Monday night so the restaurant was not crowded and we were able to enjoy the very lovely surroundings of the restaurant. Stuffed mushrooms were a great starter and the pan-fried perch was a winner. Portions are very...

This restaurant serves very well prepared, traditional German food. Seems to be slightly better than some of the other restaurants we checked out in Nikolaiviertel. I would definitely recommend the Eisbein - it was delicious. If you go on the weekend during peak dinner hours, you should probably make a reservation in advance.

We tried this place as it was a short walk away from our hotel and we received some good reviews. The place felt cosy and warm with some traditional decor. The food was tasty. We didn't get the chance to sample the cheese and pear as they had run out (we did arrive late into the evening so no stars...

The upstairs part of the restaurant wasn't open, so we dined downstairs and it has a lovely cozy atmosphere. I had pearl barley and prune soup, which was excellent (one of the best soups I've ever had) and my husband's potato and smoked wild boar was too. I also enjoyed the liver for main course. After reading many reviews about...

Thank you tripadvisor for telling us about this gem. We missed the pear on the menu that was raved about and kicked ourselves when we saw the couple next to us had ordered it. I had the wild boar which was tender and full of flavour. Apple strudel was good too. 2 courses each with drinks €40. Well worth it.

A good little restaurant situated just off the attractive Nikolaikirchplatz which has a few interesting shops and a fine old fashioned Berlin pub in “Zum Nussbaum” just opposite the church and barely a 10 minute walk from Alexanderplatz. Great vaulted interior with a warm and inviting atmosphere (it was minus 14 outside!) We were made to feel very welcome and...

Aside from the dining area on the ground level, apparently they also have a gentleman's hall upstairs. Not sure what that entails, as it was roped off. Anyways, it's really interesting to eat in historical settings, in this case a former courthouse. The menu begins with an introduction to the history of the place..I remember some mention along the lines...

A smallish place, which I ate at early evening. I like that you could get a meal before the usual dinner hour. The food seemed much better than the typical fast food German heavy-on-fried-food restaurants that surround the Radisson Blu. To get here you cross through the Marx-Lenin square and enter the historic area. It's right by Nikolaivertel. I had...
