...you may end up in a place like this. The restaurant serves a 3-course lunch. We had Castillian soup for the first course, which contained an unidentifiable, slimy substance we later found out was bread. It didn't taste bad, but it was unpleasant to eat. For the second course, we had the suckling pig; it was OK, but nothing to... More

not a top restaurant, more of a cafe that you can imagine the locals using for lunch. 15 euros fixed price menu including wine and most was pretty good. I would specifically mention the white bean soup, it was very good. avoid the cod, too much in the way of sauce which probably worked to camouflage the fish. My 5... More

I was very disappointed to see that such "restaurants" are still open around the world. The first strategy is to cheat by presenting a different menu when you are asking for food inside (Menu 15), as when looking for options outside the restaurant (Menu 8,95) First dish we had, salad / paella, was re-heated and cold, missing a good dressing... Paella - cold, undercooked, 1 piece of fish/prawn. Beef mains incredibly chewy, and simultaneously over and undercooked. "dessert" was still in the plastic packaging from the supermarket. Avoid.

We went into this restaurant because we were standing about 20 metres from it when a very heavy rainstorm started and we were taking shelter. We just ordered a drink as it was a little eaarly for lunch. However, before we had finished our drinks the first diners had arrived and their food looked and smelt very good so we... More

Only open lunchtime. TRied this on recommendation of our hotel reception. His other recommendation La Alambia was excellent. This was dire. AT 15 euros for lunch it was certainly more expensive than many fixed menus other restaurants offered at lunch. The only good dish was Toledo soup. My paella was cold, dry and totally lacking seafood. Both mains were v... More

We tried this restaurant based on the rating on trip advisor and were less than thrilled. It is a very small, home style, local restaurant that at first looked appealing for it's "Mom and Pop" allure - indeed it was a small family run restaurant. There were menus posted outside with varying prices for a "menu del dia" (meal of... More

This is a small, home-style restaurant just down from the Cathedral. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. We enjoyed our paella so much there, that we went back for it again the next day. Highly recommended. Calle del la ciudad, n 7, 450002 - Toledo [----]
