Made a reservation for dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant was easy to find I was ready for a search after reading other reviews but we had no trouble at all. The service is excellent and the owner is lovely! We were served bread/ home made bread sticks with home made olive oil. The bread sticks were delicious! I... More

My husband and I had dinner here on a Friday evening. We arrived at about 7:00 - 7:30 p.m. without a reservation....the hostess checked with the owner and she then seated us at a table for two in a very cozy spot. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the service was excellent. We were given plenty of time... More

I found out about this restaurant on tripadvisor and was not let down. Friendly, attentive, warm service, Delicious food - well presented, and great selection. We enjoyed sharing the assorted meal where the dishes were a surprise. We were an (older 17-63) family, but it would equally be suitable for couples and groups of friends.

Went here last night, obviously very popular and worth making a reservation. However we got a table after half an hour. The staff were super friendly and the menu was creative and inviting. Every course was the most delicious food we have eaten in Italy. They ran out of the mussels which was one of their specials but made up... More

Small, out of the way, personal and delicious, Al Duello is one of the best restaurants in Rome. The food preparation is creative but entirely accessible, and the service is friendly and thorough. Ingredients are fresh and the ambiance is simple but lovely. It is becoming more widely appreciated (deservedly so), so reservations are wise. We would not plan a... More

Found this restaurant on Trip Advisor. Wanted something not so touristy. We've had the worst service here in Rome! The waiters/waitresses in this city are very rude to the customers! We were very happy with the service here. The waitresses (I assume they were the owners) were so great! And really made us feel welcome. The food was delicious. We... More

This was literally the best food I have ever eaten. I've been to dozens of restaurants in Italy and thousands in the U.S. and have never tasted such unbelievable flavors. Highly recommend. Make a reservation ahead of time.

I ate dinner at Al Duello with my daughter twice over the past two weeks. The first time was with a reservation and the second a drop-in as we were walking in the area after an aperitivo near the Pantheon and found ourselves drawn back to the restaurant. Each time was terrific. Great food, attentive and friendly service and reasonably... More

Location was quiet but central; easy walking distance to the hotel. Menu was thankfully not long, with English subtitles, and concentrated on fresh fish and pasta. 6 of us ordered and shared. I focused on two different pastas which were perfectly cooked al dente. Desserts were mandatory and satisfying. The two waitresses who looked after us were charming and engaged.... More

We came with no reservation and were sitted in the middle of the restaurant and asked to move to a more private spot. The waitress said: "sure, i want it to be a special night for you". Calamary soup was beyond expectations. The filled calamary (with veggies) was very nice. The side dish, chips, felt like they where just taken... More
