You will need to make a reservation about 4-6 weeks ahead that is how popular it is with the locals let alone tourist. We got lucky that they had an opening about 20 minutes away in the early afternoon. After we were seated many tried to get in and were turned away. It has only 12 tables but could fill... More

This is a trully gem in the middle of a touristic place in Rome. Generally the places on the touristic places in Rome are always very expensive, bur Armando keeps it real for a decent price. We have tried the Cacio Pepe and Carbonara and both plates were divine. Excelent service, excelent and well priced wine list and food to... More

This was my second trip to Armando al Pantheon. It was just as good as my first! The dinner was the first night on this trip to Rome. I decided something familiar would be good after a long flight. The staff was it's usual friendly self. I was fully expecting to get the cacio e pepe, but when I was... More

My wife and I were given the recommendation by our Australian food friend as one of the best place to eat in Rome. It is very close to the main tourist areas but some excellent food is served in a cosy ambiance. Well worth the visit but we had to book for the evening two day in advance as it... More

We ate here on a tip from the Eating Italy food tour we went on during our first day in Rome (thanks Luna!) The food was excellent - artichokes were magnificent and the two pasta dishes we had were also great. The service was very good too with a waiter who helped us to pick what was seasonal and meals... Based on reviews, made reservation in advance for our first night in Rome. Glad we did, as reservation is a must. For starters, I had anchovies with artichoke which was quite tasty. Both of us had the pasta with pancetta with goat cheese and pecorino which may have been the best pasta dish I ever had! For main course, I... More

So many places where we ate in Roma had rude, disinterested staff. Not so Da Armando al Pantheon. They smiled and were very helpful as one would expect when assisting with food and wine questions. Being so close to a major tourist attraction, I was dubious about eating here but it was the best meal we ate in Roma. We... More

Probably the best lunch we had in Rome. Loved their cacio e pepe pasta. Specials each day of the week - lucky for us we were there on a Friday which featured a ceci bean / pasta dish - it was Amazing! Shared an assortment of bruschetta and the cicoria - so good. Everything was cooked perfectly. Nice wine list... More

We had a pleasant meal at Da Armando al Pantheon, the highlight of the meal was the lamb chops which were succulent and flavoursome, if you go this is a "must-order" dish. We also ordered a Spaghetti alla gricia and the Friday cod special which were nice but not as memorable. The staff were considerate but on the whole I... More

Lovely. :) A perfect place to prep your forces before or after your Pantheon visit. Definitely NOT a rip-off. The service was spotless: The waitor was very friendly and helpful but inspecably polite; these guys don't loom over you or try to sell you stuff. Overall, the restaurant is obviously doing great, so the food is fresh and my supper... More
