I am sicilian and they really do an excellent job with food and dessert in a tiny charming restaurant.....
I had a "perfect memory" of this restaurant. I went back recently and the standards went down a bit, but it's always a great place to have dinner to. A "like home" atmosphere, good Sicily cuisine, good service. Do not to book since they only have few table.
Homely atmosphere, very tasty, good wine selection. Amazing Swordfish in a variety of preparations. A little difficult to book...as very popular. Has a doorbell...
You ring the doorbell, having made sure to book in advance because there are only ten tables, and you walk into a warm welcoming atmosphere. It feels like someone's cosy front living room. The food is as informal as the setting. Tasty Sicilian home cooking included real vegetables ... short on the ground in Milan. My swordfish with a lemon... More
Getting good food at reasonable prices in the centre of Milan can be quite a challenge, so take a 10 minute Metro ride from Duomo, ring the doorbell and enter for good food, good value, good service and a very friendly welcome. Interesting vegetable antipasta; good, tasty swordfish, and sensibly priced wines.
I have always had a soft spot for this little restaurant. I love the smile with which they greet you when you come in, their simple, unpretentious decor that makes you feel at home, their amazing Sicilian dishes which range from a still unbeatable 'Paste con le sarde' and a luscious 'Rigatoni alla Norma' to their swimmingly fresh fish cooked... I loved this quirky place about 20 minutes' walk from the Duomo. Worth making a detour for as the fish is so wonderful. Not expensive and the service is great. You will need to book as it will seat only about 25 people. Great atmopshere.
Loved this small, cosy, low key restaurant in the Porta Romana area of Milan. Friendly service, excellent quality food, mostly fish. Starters included a mixture of different kinds of fish eg smoked sword fish, mussels, anchovies, octopus. Mains included tuna and sword fish. Salad is available on the side. Prices for both fish and wine were very reasonable (less than... More
Great Sicilian cousine.
This is the 2nd time we have dinner at this small restaurant in a quite spot in East Milan. There are less than 10 tables and you have to ring a bell to get in, but believe me it is worth it. They specialize in Sicilian dishes. We had spaghetti with sea food as primi piatti and fish as secondi... More
