Go to the bar at the back, service is better and the drinks are half the price !! Really helpful Barman, who makes a mean Martini !!
Located in the very heart of Venice - on Piazza San Marco, Cafe Florian stands in its pride to remind us the glorious days of Venice. The epitomy of luxury and immaculate service. Definately a must-visit when taking a break in Venice
Very expensive powdered hot chocolate drink - flecks of powder still floating in it, for €10 I expect a minimum of an in house made hot chocolate. Very poor quality. We had dessert which was fine. Service very good.
Although the cost was more than the average cup of coffee, the ambiance and the presentation was spectacular! We shared an incredible beautifully presented gelato and we each had a latte. Served on beautiful china with silver service for our lattes, it was the perfect afternoon respite after walking and window shopping all of the nearby leather good boutiques. It... More
What a place! I was as much surprised by the very high service standards and the waiters in tailcoats as for the very high quality of poducts they offer. Prices are high but it is worth seeing because this place loated on Piazza San Marco is unique on earth!
Surroundings are fantastic and the service and ambiance superb. Prices on a par with the very ordinary cafés in the square although €20 for a coffee and a hot chocolate may be considered excessive...
Our guidebook forewarned us about the prices in Caffe Florian, but we decided to experience a coffee and pastry in the early afternoon given the history and reputation of the place. A visit to Venice would not be complete without a visit to the Caffe Florian at the Piazza San Marco. Yes, the prices are somewhat steep, but you don't go there every day and the setting, the interior and the delicious cakes, hot chocolate and coffee, offered in a mind boggling variety, make your visit worth its while.
Hot chocolate with scones at tea time...and live music! Club sandwich with champagne for brunch...! The champagne comes with a bowl of fresh strawberries on crushed ice! Pure moments of pleasure in this romantic city. A must!
Age old place with fantastic food , coffee and music...a must when in Venice. The cafe concert music best enjoyed in a nice and sunnny autumn's day...not too hot and too cold. Lovely !
