We checked out this restaurant on a recent trip to Palermo after some of the very positive reviews on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed! The restaurant itself was located on the old part of town, which added to it's character. We booked a table for 8:30pm and were very suprised to find we were the only people in the... More

The food was out of this world and the staff were very friendly and supplied a great service in a lovely little restaurant. There was a really good selection of different olive oils which were so tasteful. The food was all top notch. It also had a great selection of red wines which were lovely. Overall an outstanding restaurant which... More

I visited A'Cuncuma in September 2012. At the time, the restaurant has only been opened for about 3 months in a very commercial part of Palermo. As we wandered around on a Sunday afternoon close to 2pm, the town was deserted and the restaurant looked closed. The door was slightly ajar so we poked our heads in and found most... More

This small restaurant serves dishes which are based on local cuisine but have the sophisticated and complex flavours that would be created by a top international chef. The restaurant is modest and in a back street, but well worth discovering. The red mullet with a citron, herb and oil liquor is outstanding.

We visited this fabulous restaurant, and were greeted by a most hospitable and knowledgeable host. We decided to take the taster menu , and were treated to the most exquisite regional dishes. The restaurant owner carefully explained each course, and which part of the island it originated from. We entrusted our host to select our accompanying wine, and what a... More

Yes, indeed the food they serve looks very good!! Every dish we ordered was articulately prepared. But they also tastes very good. The semifreddo was the best we ever had! The two waiters were very attentive and explained every dish in English even without being asked. The only drawback is that it is a bit pricey for a city like... More

We wanted to find a nice place for a meal in Palermo and decided to try it. We had a bit of trouble finding it but once we did we were glad we made the effort. The restaurant was quiet the night we went, but the food and service was incredible. We opted fo the set multi-course meal that was... More

We visited this restaurant in mid October. We had high expectations after reading the reviews and we were not disappointed. We were welcomed with a complimentary glass of local prosecco and a basket of home made breads to dip into the delicious oils on the table. We had the set menu of six courses, very like the tasting menus in... More

We looked for a good-food nice-place in Palermo and found this restaurant. We couldn't believe our lack that they could reserve a place for us that evening. When we arrived we immediately liked the place - nice décor and atmosphere The menu was a bit pricy, but, hi, we are on vacation. Than it started: most of the dish run... More

We arrived at A’ Cuncuma without reservations, and although it was quite small, we were seated right away. What followed was the most memorable dinner of the trip, with superb food and wonderful wine. The standout dish was red snapper stuffed with small shrimp with a wonderful light sauce that was simply remarkable. We had a couple of very good... More
