It's not much on ambience, but it’s an authentic place. I had Costini w/bacon, tagliatelle w/duck sauce and a side of stuffed artichokes. Really delicious!

We had an excellent meal at i Toscano. I never knew gluten-free bread tasted so good! My kids were jealous and wanted to eat gluten-free too! They brought out two fresh-baked rolls that we so soft and fluffy inside! I had the chef's risotto, which was asparagus. It was creamy and delicious. I ended my meal with the apple cake,...

We chanced upon this restaurant and saw it had a good rating from trip advisor displayed on the door, so gave it a try. Very glad we did. It appears to be run almost entirely by women, which we have found unusual in Italy, and they are lovely, friendly people with good English, who also respected my daughter's fluency in...

This was one of our two best dining experiences during our two-week trip to Italy. For anyone on a gluten-free diet, this is a great place. And if you are not gluten-free, you will enjoy it just as much (as my non-gluten-free husband did). The food is excellent and prepared perfectly. Almost the entire menu can be prepared gluten-free, and...

Absolutely loved the food. Ask your waiter for recommendations...we did and were so happy went returned for another dinner.

A family run relaxed establishment far enough away from the main throughfare providing good value for money in an expensive city. Menu was traditional, well cooked & served with the minimum of fuss. Particularly recommend the Aubergine Parmeggiano - delish!

Florence for four nights and this place was our favorite! Child-friendly, good portion sizes, delicious meals, fairly priced! Pear and cheese filled pasta was the best meal my wife had in two-week Italian vacation....

A small restaurant located on a sketchy street in the center of Florence. The man that sat us to our seats is the owner. He was rude and nasty from the minute we came in. When we got our food, we were shocked to see how small the portions were. Even a mouse would be hungry after this dinner. But...

We spent 5 nights in Florence and enjoyed i Toscano so much we returned and ate dinner there twice. On the advice of our waiter, we ordered fennel salami; ravioli w/fresh ricotta chees & nettle sauce; stewed beef in wine w/peppercorns; fresh peas florentine style; with biscotti dipped in sweet wine for dessert. When we returned we had the ravioli...

I had dinner here 10 years ago, and WOW still wonderful in 2011. We had lunch and dinner at I' Toscano. The food was classic Tuscan, very fresh and seasonal menu. A very comfortable setting. We really enjoyed the Florentine ricotta cakes along with the grilled veal chop. The family that runs this restaurant is hands on...all done right.
