This restaurant is up some steps in the middle of town. Great food, great wine, great service, not cheap but not expensive...great! (I had the pigeon, and it was fantastic.)

Assisi is a vibrant, busy and beautiful town to visit. Well worth searing just back from the main streets & piazzas to find La Fortezza. Title says it all. Loved this place for the quality of food, the service and the great atmosphere. The waiter was very attentive and looked after us with our broken Italian. Pastas were great and the duck main course was outstanding. A great evening and I highly recommend this place.

If you are tired of the tipical touristic ristorante, try this one. A looks a bit chique, but the prices are not high and the food is good.

Assisi is interesting but very touristic. We looked for a more local restaurant but found this hidden gem. Very nice food, excellent service and acceptable prices. We only had lunch there this time but we will for sure also dine there next time.
