This is a very good indian restaurant and for me it is the best indian restaurant in Basel. I love their butter chicken it is very delicious and tasty .
This is a great restauranrant that I was warned against on my first trip to Basel in May. This time we ate there and it was fantastic (lured in from the great smells wafting out to the sidewalk). The food was excellent and the service amazing, especially considering there was only one server for the whole restaurant.. I hunted down... More
The food is really tasty and they have a great selection. My favourite curry place in Basel. The buffet on a Saturday night is worth checking out if you're hungry and want to try a few different things.
Proper spicy... we had the pakoras, bhaji, samosa starts all fab.. then a very, very good chicken jalhfrezi and a superb - and hot - lamb dish. All with tasty, toasty bread.... We had a funny, efficient waitress..paid decent prices.. It might not be the most stylish place in town but it's thoroughly recommended
My wife and daughter took me here for father's day. After trying all the Swiss cuisine for six weeks, it was time for something familiar. We ordered butter chicken, saag paneer, raita, rice, and naan. Everything was very delicious, and the service was flawless. Decent prices for Basel; with two beers and a Coke, we ended up around CHF 90,... More
This location was hosting a Chinese restaurant before and for a while now this was been is substituted by an Indian restaurant. The atmosphere is very sterile, while it seems to be "Indian" it is not finely decorated as other restaurants. The food is OK, on an average for Basel, but the refills of rice are not for free, which... More
I tried the Royal Palace with a friend having read the reviews on Trip advisor. I really enjoyed the food - we had Onion Bhajis and Prawn Pakora to start and they were both very good. To follow we had Lamb Rogan Josh, which though ok was not as good as i have had previously in other restaurants, and Chicken... More
I had the dinner buffet and found the food decent but not great. The appetizers were good but I found the main dishes lacking somewhat.
Generally, we find that Indian restaurants in Basel and Switzerland as a whole are not that great. However, this one is good. We particularly like their tandoori dishes.
Had a chance to visit this place couple of times in last 1 month. Food is very good, very tasty. Not too child friendly though.... it is always a good idea to call & have a reservation in place before going, as it is busy, at least at dinner time. It would be good to have a WiFi there too..:)
