Tried this restaurant based on Tripadvisor reviews together with a friend. I had the oven baked aubergine and was disappointed that it had been overcooked. My friend had a pasta dish which was very nice. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very good and the service was good.

We went to Aroma in April during our visit in Basel. I love the atmosphere as it is a small restaurant with around 8 tables. People are nice. We tried various appetizers and hand-made spaghetti. It is delicious!!! I must go Aroma again when I have chance to visit Basel again.

The special literally made our jaws drop. Great food and really worth all the other good reviews. We got a bottle of wine and drank the night away eating probably one of the best Italian food in Switzerland. A++

Unfussy, delicious, italian food and wonderful service. Real Italian food is never over wrought. Simple, pure, tasty, quality ingredients. The food was delicious and the service excellent. Definately worth a visit if you are in Basel and want a special meal. Stefano, the owner, was very attentive and guided us through the menu and helped us select the food and wine. Wish I could go there every week!

Business dinner with good Italian Antipasti and excellent Tagliata di Manzo. Very busy for Tuesday evening. Very friendly service. Small but very good Wine menu
