Small and cosy brasserie serving good meat, plats du jour and some French "spécialités", all prepared as it has to be. Great entrecôte Café de Paris (meat comes from Argentina (Ojo de Agua)), I personally prefer the "Côte de Veau" thick and juicy. A wine list comprising good experiences at all level of prices, I recommend Château La Pointe or... More

I love this place....the atmosphere is charming yet casual with just enough noise level to be lively without being loud. The restaurant is quite small with the tables close together if you are really concerned about a private conversation this may not be the place. The food while simple is delicious and well presented. My husband and I had the... More

The restaurant is a very nice French-style "bistrot", at least what concerns the typical decor. The service is curteous and efficient, even if not really friendly. The food is of course "bistrot cuisine" with simple and well prepared dishes but don't expect anything exceptional. Portions can be small and meat dishes are reduced to their minimum: a piece of meat,... More

We visited luminere on New Year's Eve and luckily got a table without reservation. The atmosphere was akin to a quint French cafe, and we were provided with diligent service from the start. The house red was good quality and reasonable for Zurich prices. The deconstructed beef tartar was fresh, with incredibly tasteful cherry tomatoes. Main course of steak cafe... More

A great restaurant with french cuisine in the very heart of Zurich! Top quality of food and great hosts. The service is very professional, helpful and they know what it needs to papmer their guests! Its also an attractive price value you get. Try the c. sweetbread's on lentils, a real speciality!

Very cute interior with friendly people. I would love to have a romantic dinner here. Not too pretentious, but charming. Food was not bad at all, but I thought nothing too special. I had steak tartare (and tried a bit of beef bourguignon) I will definitely have another try here one day!

A very nice typical French restaurant in the middle of the old Town in Zürich. Their speciality is “Entrecôte Café de Paris” but that time I took Swiss boar which was simply great. Very nice menu card and an excellent quality choice of French wines, primarily Bordeaux and Burgundy but a very reasonable prices. Very, very friendly and helpful service.... More

We love this restaurant. The food is always delicious, and the setting is lovely. It's in the middle of the old town in the centre of Zurich and has outdoor seating in the summer. But one of the best things about this place is the fabulous service we've received (which is quite rare in Zurich!). The staff are always friendly,... More

What a stunning little place with red checkered table cloths, great service and food all around. Had the entrecote steak which didn't blow me away - but was nevertheless very good. Seasonal menu looked lovely. Wine list very reasonable.

Spent our wedding anniversary evening here & weren't disappointed. The meal was delicious! The service excellent! My only complaint is about the French fries, which are miniature & go cold & hard very quickly. Having said that, we'll go back again on our next visit to Zurich!
