We ate here after reading reviews on trip advisor and elsewhere. The atmosphere was fantastic, service quick and food was really lovely. We throughly enjoyed all 3 courses we had and had a fantastic bottle of wine to go with it. Menu was lovely and staff were really friendly. The best place in Amsterdam we tried by far!!
We experienced a lovely evening of tasty Dutch delicacies. All dishes seemed prepared with traditional rural cuisine in mind (enriched with a modern touch).
Although slightly pretentious, the food was tasty - and it was obvious that the chef has a keen interest in delivering simple food with clean flavors while paying attention to details such as consistencies and presentation....

My wife and I recently went to Greetje on our first trip to Amsterdam. We loved it. The staff was extremely friendly, the atmosphere was charming and exactly what we were looking for ... and the food was amazing. What else could you ask for!
We went because posts on trip advisor said it had authentic dutch food, but we left not sure what the fuss was about. Dont get me wrong, it was good, just not as good as we thought it'd be. The highlight didnt come til the end cheese selection, and the house red was perfect for it too! :)

I was on a very brief layover in Amsterdam and wanted to try out some authentic Dutch food. Because I only arrived at 7:30pm, it was a little too late to make a reservation, but I went and tested my luck. Even though Greetje was extremely busy, the wait staff went above and beyond in accommodating me and kept me...

A great welcome and cosy atmosphere, although on this chilly night of our visit, a tad cool. This restaurant prides itself in presenting Dutch food at it's best. The waiters were well versed in how to make a customer welcome and did so with ease. I suspect this venue caters one of the better examples of traditional Dutch cuisine and...

This Restaurant was reccommended to us as authentic Dutch food. We took our children so i was glad to see a nice variety of entees at this fine dining restaurant, includig several fish options, chicken and steak. The appetizers, especially the fish profiteroles were unique and delicious. The owner and waitstaff were friendly and enthusiastic.
First we are French. Second, we do do a lot of dining and lunching in one or two Michelin stars restaurants. Third we know our food, and are difficult to please. And finally we never comment on Tripadvisor. But this restaurant deserves an exception.
Of course, pretentious as we are, we were not expecting much from a Duch traditional restaurant,...
