Food was quite bland. Surely the novelty is running out!The distinct lack of decent ethnic restaurants in Brussels does not justify the celebrations of this place. So busy the service is also a nightmare, and I have been three times. More

When you want to have African food, Kokob is a place to go. Food is excellent and waitresses are really nice, patiently explaining about the food and how it should be eaten. This place is almost est when you go with a bigger gang as then you can try different things. More

Vacationed in Belgium for a week. My favorite part of vacation is the dining! I was sorry to say VERY disappointed in Belgian cuisine. I am a vegetarian that occasionally eats fish, no wheat, no dairy, no corn and very little sugar. I had a hard time in Belgium. So when I searched online and found this restaurant I was... More

Eating with the hands exotic food on an African environment seems like a great temptation. Indeed it is worth the visit. But after the initial surprise, you realise that the food is pretty much the same as European, there's just a few African people in the place and eating with the hands is not funny anymore. Price is a bit... More

One the place I often go to when friends come to visit me. Staff is incredibly polite, nice and helpful explaining you the way to prepare your meal. Very unusual food shared on the table. Always book the day before and prepare your stomach because the food is good and in quantity. More

A lot of the reviews here focus on the unusualness of Ethiopian food. We however were visiting from Washington, DC where Ethiopian restaurants are aplenty. So, we were unsure about whether to go here, but glad we did! The food was slightly different from what we had sampled e.g., there was a potatoes and beets dish we'd never had before.... More

My husband and I went here for lunch and had the option that included two meat dishes, three vegetables and the pancakes to wrap everything up in. We had never had Ethiopian food and the waiter was extremely helpful in recommending a meal. The food was delicious and we had a huge amount of it. To finish we had some... More

Went there several times. Loved the food and warm ambiance. The Belgian waiters at this resto are a bit rude, the others were very hospitable and curteous though. More

I have been a regular customer for a few years regularly bringing family and friends with me. Generally had a great time and found it to be one of the better dining experiences in Brussels (not necessarily the food but the atmosphere). I recently went to Kokob with friends who brought their (quiet and well behaved) 3 year old son... More
