My wife, my daughter and I ate here. Very good food, excellent service! The moray eel is really good, light and flaky, just watch out for the bones. My 4 year old daughter liked it so much she hardly let me eat any of it. My wife really enjoyed her steak, it came with grilled pineapple. It's been 3 weeks... More

I had my favorite meal of the trip here. The only place that gave as much attention to presentation as preparation, especially appreciated the vegetable mix. For all to good produce you see in the open air market, most places put little effort into veggies. Good, unobtrusive staff, English proficient. Interesting photos of old Ponta and Sao Miguel on the... More

My husband and I ate here after a day of exploring. I have been to Ponta Delgado many times on layover and really enjoy the city. The food at this restaurant was good. It was fresh and tasty, Dessert was delicious! Looking forward to going back next year.

My husband and I ate here after walking by and liking the looks and menu. It turned out to be one of my favorite meals of our 2 week stay in Portugal. The garlic shrimp appetizer was delicious and lamb main course excellent. My husband had an excellent fish stew. Of course you can't beat the Azorean pineapple for dessert-don't... More

Roasted duck was bland, fatty, and had a weird sweet sauce. The potatoes not quite roasted and were a little boring. Our friendly waiter tried to convince us we wanted flambéed pineapple, but we got gratinéed, which was actually the best part of the meal. Oh, and we also finally had good bread: it's striking that much of the bread... More

We were two persons that visited Casa Acoreana. I've had grilled Swordfish steak two times before at other Portugese restaurants and they have been grilled to much so that they've came out dry, but at Casa Acoreana the grilled swordfish steak was juicy and tasty. For dessert I had a Creme Brulee which was very tasty. but unfortunately a bit... More

We decided to dine at Casa Acoreana because a neighboring restaurant we intended to try was full. We were a group of four and three of us decided to have the "regional steak". When the steaks arrived, they were all different sizes. My steak was rare even though I asked for it medium. I didn't bother to send it back.... More

no traditional meal. No traditional environment. No traditional furniture. Maybe "Casa Açoreana" is the wrong name for this average restaurant. The staff, indeed, was very helpful and friendly.

Fresh fish, tasty meat, crunchy veggies. This is a no-frills, no-fuss restaurant where you get a decent deal for a good price. The kids loved it, too. Don't miss the olives and garlic bread for starters. Stay away from the desserts (incl the white chocolate mousse), far too rich.

We were happy with this restaurant: the quality of the food was very good and the service was good as well. The only downside was that we never received our basket of bread that we ordered before the meal, and that the preparations of the food took some time - however, the result was very tasty! The atmosphere was nice... More
