Returned to this restaurant after a very good meal last year. Have to say it continues to be the best authentic food, value and atmosphere of all the restaurants we ate in in Porto. Try the roast goat or delicious fried sardines. And the desserts are homemade and delicious. Sitting outside on a warm evening enjoying beautiful food in a... More

Food, service and ambience all excellent. We were served by Caesar who talked us through some of the items on the menu with calm patience. Particularly, we enjoyed some lovely tender pork and perfectly cooked sea bass. Pick of the desserts was a beautiful creme brulee like dish. Just be careful with the local firewater served " on the house"... More

I saw the reviews for this restaurant so I dropped in last night. They were fully booked so I asked for a reservation for tonight. The gentleman taking the booking wrote on a pad "19.00, 20.00, 21.00?" So I underlined 20.00 and he wrote this in his reservation book. It was the only entry. Today I arrived at 20.00 and... More

A Grade is tucked away in a tiny alley in Ribeira , a street back from the waterfront.Try the goat and ask the boss to recommend a good local wine - you won't be disappointed.

Another good recommendation in the Rick Steve's guide. The highlight of the meal was easily the baked octopus, which is completely delicious. Other items were just average but it is worth it to come here for the octopus alone - so tender! Service is a bit gruff but I found it charming. Prices are reasonable and the location is right... A lovely little restuarant tucked away just above the main water front drag on the town side of the river. A family run restaurant with traditional portuguese food and a delightfully frieindly approach. the food was fabulous. We had two meals there and would happily go back.

Cozy and fun local restaurant with friendly and efficent service. The baked Octopus is the specialty and the best dish of the night. The fresh seabass and local soup was good as well. Tables are set close together inside and the restaurant does offer a number of outside seats as well.

A local fish restaurant not on the promenade but just a bit up from the river. We enjoyed the setting and the friendliness of the owners. Had a good vegetable soup as well as the excellent traditional soup with collared greens and potatoes served in a deep earthenware pot. For mains we shared the octopus filets, which were first cooked,... More

This is a local restaurant with honest food. The owner is very friendly and serves uncomplicated honest dishes but without any sophistication.
