Fishermans taverna is a great atmosphere on the Saturday night we were there with live music and lots of locals out with there families for a night out. Our food was good but felt over priced compared to other places we went. That being said still good value. Our waiter was not very attentive and we were done our second... More

Our guide took us here for lunch and it was a perfect experience for trying the local dishes. The appetizer plate with the various items was very good and we shared among the four of us before our main dishes arrived. My friend the chef tried their grilled octopus and he said it was very good and tender.. I tried... More

I have visited the place 2 times, once last September and the second a few days ago for lunch. The decoration is nice and traditional which I suppose is what anybody is looking for while trying a Greek tavern. The food was good, the service was let's say ok (could be better but let's not forget that this is a... More

We found this restaurant from the internet and so wanted to try because it was mentioned having great seafood. Well, it was much better than what we expected. The area was so cute with great view. The staff were very friendly and, I would say, very active (couldn't understand why they need to walk so fast). As for the food,... More

This place was recommended by the staff at the Grand Bretagne. We were up on the high terrace and the atmosphere was great. My fish was ok, but everyone else ordered the lamb and they all loved theirs. We had a wonderful time and would go back next time.

We happened upon this place on our last night in Athens. We were planning to have a light dinner, and be on our merry way for an early night. But the Gods had other plans. Turns out the chef was an Egyptian who'd been living in Athens for 25 years, and it's obvious he knows his way around Greek food... More

We had one night in Athens and deliberated (at length) on where to eat. We dropped in on Psarra after walking around the Parthenon. The descent to Psarra through the maze of small streets added to the intrigue of the place. When we finally found it, we were delighted with the charm and feel of the place. Having spent several... Located in the old part of Athens, this is a quaint tavern with a friendly vibe. We ate outside and the restaurant is located amongst several other restaurants and coffee shops near the ruins and in the Plaka. Good, solid Greek food. I would recommend it highly.

Along with having wonderful food, the views are amazing if seated on the roof top. Try the squid both grilled and lightly battered. The fish was also very tasty. Great atmosphere here. We were lucky enough to be there as they celebrated Easter weekend. As darkness fell the Greeks made their way down the hill and thru the restaurant with... More

I read many good reviews for Tou Psarra and gave this taverna a try. Finding the restaurant was tricky, since it is located some fifty steep steps climb from Erechtheos Street. Tables were situated close together and most patrons opted for the inside room due to the cool April night temps. Tou Psarra has a good menu selection that include:... More
