Very good restaurant, excellent atmosphere and fantastic food. Just a little disappointment about the Champagne by the glas, that was OK but we thought it was not at the level of the quality of the food and the place.

We wanted to try an old school restaurant...and Fem Sma Hus did not disappoint. Delicious lobster bisque and loin of veal both hit the spot on a chilly evening. It's a little dark down below street level...so watch your step. And the walk back to our hotel in the streetlights of Old Town was delightful.
In a nutshell: - even though the place is big it is divided into small rooms who gives it a romantic cosy atmosphere - the service was very friendly, we were there with two kids and they were made feel special - the food was very good but would not blow you out of your mind
This is a really cosy restaurant and the food was wonderful. I had the calf filet with "potatis grateng". I recomend this highly. The service was wonderful too.
We were a group of 7 couples who had submitted a requested menu order a week in advance. The tone was set when our waitress huffed that we couldn't be quicker ordering our drinks- We were presented with one winelist. We asked for some more and it took 5 minutes before a second one was offered.
It took approximately 45 minutes...

Tasty food paired with some nice wine but for the price payed I expected more! Located in a celler the atmosphere was good!
We were staying at First Hotel Reisen and this place is literally behind the hotel. We gave it a try, not disappointing, good local food, reasonable price, good service. Why not if you are in the area
This restaurant was highly recommended by our travel agent, but was not quite able to match the high expectations created beforehand. The food was well prepared, but rather bland and lacking anything to set it apart. Service was good, with a charming atmosphere in with five basement levels down a steep alleyway, but too many tables had been crammed in...

One of our Swedish cousins recommended Fem Sma Hus as a good place to eat, we easily obtained a reservation and it was easy walking distance from our hotel, located just a few blocks from the royal palace. It's in a beautiful old building, you go through two heavy wooden doors to the entrance hall where you check your coats,...

Certainly, the setting is unique - the several levels of basement and the layout makes it very different. However, the food is very "middle of the road" at fairly high prices. The welcome is fairly muted and the service pleasant but distant. Overall I would not rate it highly and would not be inclined to pay a return visit!
