A classic place down town Stockholm. I had the fillet of char with chantarelles and lingon berries & potato roll. An excellent lunch!
We went with the recommendation from the concierge and made reservations here. This was a great, popular higher end Swedish restaurant. The place filled up quickly and there is a more casual side with original paintings, which was worth a look.
It was cold and raining in Stockholm the night we arrived. Having found KB in our travel guide we made a reservation and headed out to eat. On our arrival we were warmly greeted and seated. Our super friendly, helpful waitress guided us through the strange to us food choices and the meals were excellent. A craft beer and wonderful... More
I came to the restaurant with my sisters and brother because our parents ate there many times during WWII. The food was excellent and the staff could not be more efficient or kinder to us. We learned more about what they knew about the restaurant in WWII and we got a tour!
I was pleased to be invited here by local ifriends who could not understand why I had never been here before. The surroundings are "old Stockholm" and the food mostly of the traditional Swedish variety. As a starter, I shared a shrimp open sandwich with a friend and found the half poeriin more than satisfying. My main course of steamed... More
Good friendly service and well prepared, chiefly Scandinavian, food at reasonable prices (by Swedish standards). Cosy environment with decent art on the walls. If you happen to like liver - try theirs. Good for business lunch, tete-a-tete dinners and groups up to 8.
From the minute you walk in, you get the feeling that this place is special. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The lunch menu was very interesting and we had some really delicious food here.....and by Stockholm standards, reasonable enough.
In the middle of Stockholm city, entering this place sends you to another town in an-other time. And yet not. It’s hard to explain, but this restaurant somehow is its own universe. Most of the customers are regulars and well known to the staff. Maybe that’s the reason for the direct and “equal” tone between staff and guests. Don’t expect... More
We came for a business lunch on a Tuesday. This is good, solid quality all-over without any creative edge. It was crowded by local celebs and you overhear everything from the tables next to you. There is a strong local touch to the food which my international guests apprecieted. All in all, you get what you can expect without any... More
KB means Konstnärsbaren or Artists Bar. It's been around for more than 80 years and has always had a good reputation. The food is of a high quality with both Swedish and international cuisine. The atmosphere is artistic interior decoration, paintings etc. Prices are rather high.
