A beautiful sunny day in Mdina, we had lunch in this lovely little restaurant. It is located in an attractive square, off the busier main street. The Mdina Experience show is a few doors away. We chose the traditional Maltese platter for two. Extremely good and copious quantities. To finish we had a cappuccino and some of his chocolate fudge... More

Had made a note of this along with few other lunch options and was glad we found it. Tucked into a small square next to the mdina experience the owner was very welcoming allowing us to play with his young pup. Initially we planned to eat outside on the bean bags but due to the wind we moved inside. We... More

We spent the best part of today looking round the lovely old walled town of Mdina, a welcome change from Valletta, Sliema etc and found ourselves in need of a late lunch. We stumbled across Don Mesquita a small but very welcoming wine bar and really enjoyed an Italian Platter for two that was simple but excellent (salami, parma ham,... More

I visited Don Mesquita on Christmas Eve for lunch. The food was excellent and beautifully displayed and well worth the cost which was not expensive at all. The first thing I tend to notice when I go into a restaurant is to see how well kept it is, and I was happy to notice that this was tidy place. You... More

We spent a day walking around the beautiful town of Mdina, and to our delight, found a wonderful little gem of a place to have lunch in the old town. Don Mesquita is situated in a lovely little courtyard. The place is small but the welcome is huge. There is a varied choice of food, from light snacks to full... More

We stumbled across this place wondering round Mdina and had a lovely Maltese platter lunch with a glass of wine and a split a warmed up honey ring for dessert. Lovely atmosphere, generous hosts, only criticism of the quality of the food was that the bigilla was a little bland. Good attention to detail. Good value - we throughly enjoyed... More

We where lookng for a different wine bar and i came across this one. It is situated in a small 'pjazetta' in Mdina and the ambience is really nice & cosy. Platters where great, we took the Maltese & Italian for one person and there was quite a large portion, wine was good too (however a larger choice of wine... More

Just back from a weeks holiday on Malta. Visited Mdina and came accross this lovely restaurant. Lovely food and lovely people. Excellant background music! We were with friends and had the 'platters' for lunch. 'Yummy' Well worth the visit to Medina and the restaurant was an added bonus on a hot sunny day. Debby & Geoff
