Don't miss this place! The cakes are excellent and also the teas and coffes. The service was great, they were very nice and careful. The cups and tea pots were very nice as well. I will go back and try the other cakes

Found L Heiner in Wollzeile Strasse by accident and popped in for coffee and cake and were not disappointed. Very friendly staff and prompt service, delicious cake and excellent coffee. We also purchased a sachertorte to bring home.
During a recent visit to Vienna, we stopped in L. Heiner Cafe on Wollzeile Strasse and enjoyed our coffee and cakes here, would visit again based on our experience.
We arrived just before 10am on Sunday, when they opened. Joining a handful of other eager visitors we walked in just as they opened and secured one of the small tables...

Well, I have to say, that this was truly a nice surprise for me in the city center of Vienna. They have very polite service that keeps smiling (in a very natural way). The atmosphere of the Heiner is truly amazing and you just not feel, like you are just few meters away from the Stephansdom. When you step behind...

Unlike Demel where we met and served by a stoney faced battle axe I have to say our experience was very nice! Good coffee and delicious Apfel Strudle !
The whole family had very nice breakfast here. Very pleasant services, delicious food, special offer for kid's breakfast and lovely authentic atmosphere.
Having read the good reviews here on TA and walking around in the centre of Vienna, we came across this cafe and decided to stop in for a Sacher cake. This was our first cafe experience in Vienna and it was disappointing. The cake we got was not fresh. The sitting area is extremely small upstairs, unattentive service. Happily, after...

Great little café on the Karntnerstrasse between Stephansdom and Opera offering excellent value for money. A fantastic array of cakes and pastries with plenty of seating upstairs. Seemed to be very popular with the locals when we visited.
We paid c25Euros for a light lunch, 2 pastries and 2 glasses of Sekt which for the centre of a major capital...

I popped into the Konditorei like an hour before their closing time. The staff were obviously tired and looked quite unfriendly, although polite. The cake was ok. So was the price. One thing I enjoyed was their orange punch on this cold December day in Vienna. But with their attitude I guess next time I'll prefer to get it somewhere...

Heiner is a traditional viennese cafe. It took a while to understand what I want! Cakes and brotchen were great! We went there for luncheon and breakfast.
Sacher and dobos torte were faboulos.
However the real discovery for me were the brotchen with caviar, salmon, meats, ham and eggs... really delightful for a quick break from shopping.
Service great at...
