We had a late lunch here.... beef tartare which is every bit as good as what we have had in Paris.... and the cream of white asparagus soup... wonderful! The inside of this establishment is excitingly old and formal, and yet casual for the patrons. Don't miss it!

The best cakes I have ever tried in my life are here, in Cafe Central !!! Lovely atmosphere, live misic and quite good service! I can not compare the prices as we had just cakes and coffee there. Coffee was rather good but the cakes were marvellous!!!

If we want to speak about the place it deserve 5 stars, if we want to speak about breakfast and its price it deserve 1 star. One of the worst cappuccino i have ever tried. Suggestion: go inside, walk around, and go out

We went there with a group of 6 people during one of the weekends in May. They were playing music during evening which was quite great. The cakes were great. Coffee items were also quite good. The inside decoration and atmosphere is excellent. This is quite an old and historical cafe. Check wikipedia for details.

We had coffee here after noting a Michael Portillo's visit on a recent TV programme. Service was slow and inefficient but the coffee couldn't be faulted. Hot chocolate was good too. Prices quite high for Vienna. The building is lovely and atmosphere good. A takeaway cake service is available. Meal prices looked high in relation to other quality establishments close...

We had really nice food in here, sausages and cakes. The atmosphere is very grand and historic. The coffee was good too, and the service was quick and friendly. It's worth making a detour to visit.

Our hotel concierge recommended this cafe while in Vienna and I agree! While we only had late afternoon beer and appetizers, so can't really comment on the food, it was perfect. The interior is magnificant and a pianist played throughout - it's easy to picture the historic figures seated at one of the nearby tables. I do wish we had...
