Typical Spoons, this is the one that has the music & dancefloor. Staff very good, nothing is any trouble, and the 'spoons old drunk' quota is low. Beers never off, and the upstairs area is nice & quiet. The wall displays, which give a potted history of Newbury ( you'll have to do the other 'spoons in Newbury for the... More

Good atmosphere, a nice comfy place to come and have a drink in the week or a few more at the weekend. Prices are average with lots of offers on always, the better place to go in Newbury. Although I haven't tried any food here yet.

Five of us enjoyed a Lunch in this Pub and Restaurant on Tuesday 9th. April. The Pub has all sorts of Meal Deals and two of us opted for an English Fry - consisting of Egg, Rashers, Sausages etc and it was nicely cooked and since both of us chose the same dish, it qualified for a discount. One little... More

We wanted a quick curry from the curry club menu and were not disappointed. The popadom stack at £1.99 was a starter to share with 6 popadoms and 4 assorted dips. The Tie green curry and chicken tikka were both very tasty and with rice nan and further popadoms were very filling. The price includes a drink, I had a... More

We went to this Weatherspoons pub on Sunday 16th December 2012 for lunch at about 1.45pm. The place was fairly busy downstairs but we found a table easily towards the rear. We had the Chicken Skewers with Rice and Spicy prawns. With drinks etc this came to £22.64 which was very reasonable. The skewers were great and there was plenty... More

Like all Weatherspoons this place is cheap with good quality food. Staff are always friendly and cannot do enough for you. You do not have to wait long unlike the Hatchett Inn.

Visited this weatherspoon today . Staff were welcoming from the start . Genuinely keen to talk to customers . The pub was tidy and clean and someone was around constantly cleaning . Food was better than the average weatherspoon , it was hot and I got what was stated.

We went to The diamond Tap for lunch on 6th October 2012 and went upstairs to the first floor restaturant. This is waitres served and you order at the table. At this time of day 2.30pm it was fairly quiet. We had the omato and Basil soup, Spricy prawns as a starter followed by the Chicken Tikka. The total cost... More
