Good selection of local cask ales and limited but imaginative menu. Food very good indeed- locally sourced and attractively served.Service, however, was very slow- we waited nearly an hour for our main courses. The owner was apologetic and implied this was a fault in the kitchen and rarely happened. Hope this was indeed the case as the experience otherwise was... More

The pheasant stuffed with black pudding was superb and was also tempted by the home made summer pudding. Some tastey vegetarian options too. Pub dining seems popular with locals especially at the weekend. Contemporary but unremarkable decor. Friendly staff made a very pleasant evening........shall definatley visit again.
