Fabulous choice and lovely fun setting You must book as it gets v busy with business types around lunch, but it is laid back and friendly. Fish pie is a favourite and the deserts are also amazing. Already booked to go back twice.

A classy place to impress my wife without breaking the bank. The seafood is "just out of the sea" fresh. Traditionally and sometimes imaginativly prepared beautifully. Oh, and the desserts are really worth leaving some space for.

Great range of seafood complimented by an extensive wine list in and intimate setting. Suitable for family or informal business meals. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Enough said!

Tanrogan, a hidden Gem, we ate here on Tuesday evening and what a delight. The seafood is to die for and the staff (including the chef’s)are pleasant and friendly and happy to talk about the food they prepare/serve. We had the lobster and enjoyed it a lot, well presented and the cosy atmosphere adds to the experience. However don’t be... More

Have been to Tanroagan seafood restaraunt and The Swiss Chalet restaraunt in Glen Helen owned by the same people and have never had a bad meal. The staff are freindly, helpful and knowledgeable about the food and wine. Both venues have a lovely atmosphere. Word of warning both venues are very popular so you do need to book in advance.... Started with very interesting selection of home made rolls including chilli and coriander, cheese and onion twists, olive foccacia etc My main of huge scallops with proper potato chips was excellent and my companion raved about his hake. The seasonal selection of green veg included asparagas, fine green beans, sugar snap peas and samphire, all beautifully cooked al dente. No... More

We tried stopping in on a Wednesday lunch but no success. However booked and returned on Friday. Had the 3 course lunch for £20 which was fab and even included coffee at the end. I don't love seafood and I was still more than pleased with pork rilette, fish and chip and some gorgeous home made ice cream. Hubbie had... More

My wife and i had the pleasure of eating here on our first night visiting the isle of man . We found the seafood to be amongst the very best that we have had in seafood restaurants all over europe. There were lots of blackboard specials which were obviously changed daily based on whats available in the harbour. The main... More
