We went as a large group to Coombe Cottage whilst staying in Ilfracombe, and as there were lots of us they gave us private use of this small restaurant. The service was great, the food was delicious and really nicely presented. We had everything on the menu between us, and everyone was very happy. Staff friendly and helpful and the...

A delightful little restaurant on the main street. We had an evening meal here. Very clean and welcoming, but lacking a bit of atmosphere somehow - possibly needs some quiet music? The food was excellent and freshly cooked, with not too long a wait. Desserts were ok but not outstanding. This was good value for money; all plates were emptied...

All the food is locally supplied and there is something for everyone, from Fish and Chips to Thai Green Curry and any occasion is a good enough excuse for a delicious homemade...

We were down in Ilfracombe for the bank holiday and thought we would give the restaurant a try as the ratings were so high. We were not disappointed. The shepherds pie was yummy and steak stack was fabulous. Generous portions very well cooked and with nice vegetables on the side. Don't skip dessert either, the plum crumble with clotted cream...

We visited Combe Cottage on Saturday night, the food we ordered was excellent in quality and good value for money, as was the wine list. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the Shepard Pie and I had the local loin of pork with mustard and apple sauce which was delicious. Service was first class and welcoming.
We had a lovely evening at Combe Cottage. Well cooked food at reasonable prices. Would certainly recommend to anyone that appreciates well cooked cuisine.
We visited one afternoon for dinner. The restaurant was pleasantly decorated and well geared to family dining. Prices and menu choices were good with the owners happy to do child portions. Overall I would recommend this restaurant for a friendly, not too costly dining experience.
We were taking delivery of a new caravan and ,rather than cook in it, decided to sample the local restaurants. We tried a few in the town during our short stay and this proved to be the best -an absolute gem so we ate on two evening occasions . Excellent food with friendly competent service. The shephard's pie was the...
