Lovely concept: a bit like a busy medieval inn: packed with people from all places, good mood and delicious food! You don t exactly know what you ve ordered but when it arrives, it s delicious and very local! The meat is so good... but still leave room for a ricotta dessert! Excellent prices! Friendly multilingual staff! Best to reserve... More

This was one of our best restaurant meals in the area. Reservations are a must and be sure and get to the restuarant on time; otherwise they will give your reservation to someone else. there are two seatings. They are famous for their steaks florentina style which is a T bone. As a group of six we ordered many dishes... More

Wow...this was amazing. Just watching the proceedings was worth the experience. But the food was special, and the menu was hand written (for the day). Get steak (of course) and enjoy the chopping and presentation of it. Unlike most of Italy, quantity is as emphasized as quality here so...be prepared. But you'll love it!

This is a must stop in Montepulciano. I have never seen a restaurant of this sort fill up so quickly and refuse so many people, in fact reservation is important not to get disappointed. The restaurant is a joy to enter you really feel like you are in a medieval town. The service does not disappoint, the order is taken... More

We found this restaurant in our Frommer's 2013 Italy tour book and asked the owner of the agritourismo where we stayed what she thought of it. Turns out she had eaten there with her family the previous night. She was able to get us a reservation for that night, and we couldn't have been more pleased. My husband and I... More

If you like authentic quality steak fresh cut in front of your eyes and cooked to perfection in the Tuscan way ( rare ), you will love this restaurant and its owner/butcher/chef. The entire menu is excellent but the steaks are fantastic, especially the T-Bone with or without the tenderloin. A note of advice: he will not take kindly to... More

We really really enjoyed ourselves there. we came pretty late (after calling and booking first, which u have to do...). At the beginning the staff was bit called as mentioned here, but after a while they opened up and was a delight! We had pici with tomatoes and garlic for primi and it was very good, drank 1 littre (6... More

We went here, by chance for lunch, it looked busy, so we were keen. The staff just seem so unhappy and take it out on you the foreign tourist. The waitress seemed put out we were there, and angry to wait on us. She slammed down the wine and water and told us 'its our tradition water and wine in... More

This is a placed built around its semi condescending reputation - with its, must reserve a place, the owner comes up and pushes a 1.4 KG (50 Euro) piece of meat in your face and makes faces when you say no kind of place... We had the broscata with liver - which was very very good, and some local pecorini... More

Quite the experience! Owner is great, but its his way or nothing. Need to reserve for either 730 or 900 seating Family style seating, so meet interesting people Food was awesome Appetizer of pear and melted cheese was very good Pici pasta was exceptional Salads were fine The steak: min of 40 oz that he has you inspect and decide...
