Let me start with the food. It is really good. High quality, good ingredients. carefully prepared. Good wines. Thus, you can't go wrong with the food and the place deserves its high ranking. But....there is a problem with the atmosphere, the service, the pretentiousness of it all. On the one hand, the attitude is one of a fancy New York... More

The food and atmosphere were incredible. The staff was also extremely professional. An excellent fine-dining experience. The food was all made with local ingredients and had interesting twists to traditional recipes.

Together with my friends we visited this restaurant during our stay in Spoleto. unfortunatelly, it was a big dissapointment. Very high assesment in Tripadvisor build in our group high expectation. Unfortunatelly.... Service- wine usually after meals, too few servants vs no of clients in the restaurant, service frustrated due to the speed of service. Taking into account it is enoteca... More

What a find! We had a superb lunch - sampling a range of veggie and smoked antipasti. Great care taken in sourcing and presenting the food. Good wine list. Really helpful staff. Amazing value. Not to be missed if you are visiting Spoleto.

Almost every review is excellent ...with good reason. Manuele and Chef Eros know how to run the perfect restaurant. The attention they pay to every detail..true professionals. My favorite is the Carbonara with Pecorino and bacon...my wife loves the Mezzemaniche..like rigatoni ...with a Sagrantino wine sauce and sliced pigeon. Yummy! What we admire most about Tempio del Gusto is there... More

I am not sure how to write about this ristorante without sounding as though I were exaggerating. My last words to Eros Patrizi, the exceptionally creative and imaginative chef who owns it were "C'era un'esperienza di cui non dimenticheremo mai". He personally has a great sense of the dramatic and arrived at our table on the first occasion as the... More

Close to leaving Spoleto, we decided to have a romantic evening, so we walked from our B & B on a cold winter's night via Corso Garibaldi, via Minervio, Corso Mazzini and Piazza del Mercato, doing some last minute shopping along the way. It was about 7.30pm when we called in to Tempio del Gusto only to be told it... More

While visiting Umbria in May this year (2012) we visited this restaurant on the recommendation of the guide book that we had and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. The restaurant is built on the ruins of an old temple with a glass panelled floor giving views into the wine cellars. Apart for the fact that all the... More

Right under the Arco di Druso, between Piazza Mercato and Piazza della Liberta, this centrally located restaurant is an absolute delight. Its charming internal space is matched by the friendly welcome and attentive service. The food is classic Italian with a twist, and very contemporary presentation. Excellent use of local product. For example, truffle is shaved onto your dish at... More

I visited Tempio del Gusto on 8th December when I was leaving the area to return to England. I was a bit fed up to be leaving and when I entered the restaurant I was the first guest in the section of the restaurant where I was seated. The staff quickly made me feel welcome. I didn't feel like eating... More
