The food in this restaurant is very Greek, owned by a Greek family who also do all the serving, the food is absolutely excellent and very reasonably priced a must visit
We were told this was a good place, difficult to locate, tables were squashed together, the service poor and rushed, food quality poor so therefore over priced. Felt more like a café meal than a restaurant meal If it was like this at the end of the season would not like to try in the summer.
Me, my daughter and my mum, went to Maria's and my daughter only ate 1 1/2 of her pizza as it was not excellent. The atmosphere was very noisy, they don't welcome you very much and they don't really smile. I won't be coming back again.
Very friendly service. Very clean and tidy. So far we have had only starters and deserts all of which have been delicious, especially the home made Baklava. Very much to be recommended.
Periodic returns to Lindos and visits over many years to Maria's made it a first place to eat choice. However, what we found shattered our memories. Staff unsmiling, unwelcoming, unhelpful and extremely bent on turnover of customers and capacity occupancy. Noisy, hot, rushed. mediocre flavoured predictable choices with just warm batch cooked veg...almost every dish served with the same. More like fast... More
Tucked away down one of the quieter streets in Lindos, Maria's is a nice little family run restaurant. The atmosphere was good although it was quite brightly lit. Service very friendly and food on the whole was good although if I had to find fault I would've liked more potatoes and less (or no) sweetcorn with my stifado. Cheese balls... More
We have used Marias during our previous stays in Lindos and were appalled at its decline in aspects this year. The food was very mediocre and very poor value for money and the service can only be described as indifferent and shoddy. It appears that the economic woes that Greece is currently experiencing has dramatically affected their attitude. Restaurants and... More

We came to Lindos from Pefkos for the evening and after much debate chose Marias. We had lovely food.Mine was chicken in a pepper sauce and it was fab. It became busy later in the evening and was obviously popular with many visitors. Family run, it was a delight.Truly Greek.
If you are looking for authentic Greek food, you really need to go to Marias Taverna. There's no rooftop or amazing view, like other places are trying to sell you while serving poor food ... But the plac is warm, family owned and the food is great. Try their Domades (2 types: vine leaves or cabbage leaves)-these are so tasty.... More
