This restaurant offers a really good mexican food that I was looking for a long time en Mexico. The dishes are not only tasty but in really good portion, that you will not feel hungry the following day. Good attentive service with friendly face. It was my best fajitas I have ever tried, and my friend ordered his best tampequeña.... More

Las Tinajas is a friendly, family-oriented restaurant that attracts mostly Mexican customers. It’s nicely decorated and is surrounded by large windows and a balcony meaning the place is very airy. I had read about the very large portions, so my daughter and I ordered a cream soup each and shared a main dish. Even that was difficult to finish as... More

In a town that is reputed to have few good places to eat, this place is a find. The guacamole and salsa are both delicious, and their signature dish, chicken verracruzana was interesting and well-prepared. The portions are colossal, and while not cheap by local standards, it is a good deal.

We went for dinner and had piles of excellent food! Guacamole, Fajitas, Pollo en mole... all were just delicous! Just: go there! It's great food worth every Peso.

The portions were huge! We went for dinner and had wished we'd gone for lunch! Could not finish all the food we were served! I had the creamy garlic sauce shrimp which was delicious! My boys had steaks and they didn't even bother talking after they plates got here. My husband had the special and love his dinner too! The... More

Seafood lovers extravaganza - what looked like a half a kilo of shrimp and cooked to perfection! We ate till we burst, and would have gone back the next day and the next if we had stayed longer in Palenque.

My son ordered the pollo mole. It is a quarter of a large chicken drenched in mole. I had the pescado veracruz. Both were very good, but not exceptional.

We enjoyed a very delicious meal at Las Tinajas. As others have noted, the portions are huge, we burst out laughing when we saw the size of the chicken mole--it looked like it was meant to feed a family and not one person. But very tasty it was, as were the chicken enchiladas verde and rojo. The rojo were supposed... More

This restaurant was easily the most enjoyable that I visited in Palenque. As others have noted, the portions are huge, but also have a terrific authentic Chiapan taste. I enjoyed both the mole enchiladas, a bit sweeter than I am accustomed to, but delicious and the steak tampiqueno. The steak platter involves a good portion of well marinated and nicely... More

Ate here tonight with my wife and baby. Attentive staff, even came with a towel to clean up our baby's water throwing activities. Usual wide selection menu of a mix of Mexican & Italian fare but what is unusual was the shear size of portions!!! Great value
