If you like 'real' Thai food this is THE place to go. The only 'real' Thai food we have found in Sydney. (My wife is Thai, & daughter of a Thai Chef). Be warned though. You cannot book, it's tiny and more like a Bangkok sidewalk cafe. But the food is great. If you are used to the "watered down... More

If you are looking for typical suburban Thai, you know, the kind that is dumbed down for westerners, you will be in for a shock here. This is the real deal. Wonderful fragrant and spicy (often very spicy) dishesprepared for the Thai afficianado. Buy some beers and just settle back as the charming staff deliver dish after dish to your... More

Best pork crackling also some other traditional thai dishes. Long queue but worth the wait and always serve great food consistently.

It's always great to come to a good Thai restaurant. This place is a bit small and they do not accept bookings. But the food arrived quickly and the service is efficient. Do not expect to stay around after your dinner as the bill would be placed in front of you as soon as you put your fork and spoon... More

This is a must for any one from the UK who wants to taste some proper Thai food (or what I assume is proper). Apparently the meat in sauce i was served in England is not actually what people in Thailand eat, shame on you Thai Emerald. Pop across to the bottle shop and then get in line, service is... More

This reasonably priced BYO restaurant is always busy. Expect to queue. Once in, the service is efficient and the food comes out very quickly. The soft shell crab is a taste sensation. We have visited here on two occasions and have not yet eaten a bad dish. Choosing is difficult! We were enchanted by all the appealing dishes being eaten... More

Sujet (owner) has done a brilliant job of brining Thai street food to a greyer world. The Ho Mok is unique I have never found this style in thailand. Try the Pla Rad Prik (Red curry fish) $25 and the Som Tum (Green Papaya Salad) $15 excellent value. Its a small restaurant with great staff but not for sitting around... More

Spice I Am has delicious, well priced Thai food that is fresh and tasty. The soft shell crab was to die for, and I would say they do the best pad see ew in Sydney - perfect! The only negative is that it is really busy, you almost always have to wait for a table and the restaurant itself is... More

There was nothing to dislike. Food is so good that there is always a line up to get in, but well worth the wait. Great service, friendly and very fast, so many different dishes and all of them were fabulous Thai food that we went a couple of times. Is a BYOB with no corking fee but wine glasses :-)

We revisited this old favourite on Sunday 31 Mar 2013 and it was as good as ever. OK, so we don't get to say hi to owner/head chef Sujet any more (he has too many other restaurants now) and we still had to put our names down for a table (a 40 minute wait), but you wait because it's great... More
