Hi this restaurant closed a few oaths back, a new one has opened, it's Mediterranean but I can't recall the name, sorry!
Wildflower is a small, intimate restaurant easily reached by public or private transport. The set menu choices at lunch-time are so tempting and such good value that we didn't even open the a la carte menu. After a delicious meal, Maling Rd is great for a stroll and gift shopping.
Visited on a hot summer night and proved to be a delightful choice. There was the option to be outside but we opted for the cool inside. The ambiance was chic modern and the staff were very attentive, although the venue was only half full (Friday night). It is a little isolated after the Maling Road shops have closed. We... More
Wen there with 2 foodie friends. They had forgotten we had organised a degustation for lunch and had full service; they seemed flustered. After a while we got it sorted out. The hassle was worth it and the food was great. The venue a little cramped when full but the main attraction was the skill in the kitchen.
Fine dining, food was excellent from both the lunch fixed price menu and the al a carte, service pleasant and relaxed. Caters for vegetarians. Can dine inside or outside but should book as limited seating.
A group of us had been dining at Wildflower annually for over ten years and kept coming back because it was good. Our recent visit. however, will be the last. Despite the small, intimate, venue, it took an hour before we could get a drink. Then we were rushed through the menu and ordering. I don't expect an American style... More
We had been to this restaurant before and quite enjoyed it. We went again this week for their ''Tasting Menu". We were seated at 7.00pm and were out the door by 8.15pm. In this span of time, we were given menus. water, bread, a glass of wine, the 'chef's' gift from the kitchen, PLUS the 4 courses of the tasting... More
We celebrated my sister from New Zealand,50th birthday last night with 12 family members. I had visited beforehand to discuss seating for my 80 year old mother and was impressed with their approach to customer service both then and last night. The meal was superb and wait staff and manager were attentive and helpful. All deserts were met with oohs... More
We are very lucky to have one of the best restaurants in Melbourne in our local neighorhood. We celebrated a special occasion tonight at the Wildflower and it didn’t disappoint. The waiting staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The menu had changed since our visit last year – as had the chef – and the food was explained in just enough... More
I shared one of the best meals I've ever had with colleagues at Wildflower about a year ago, so mine isn't a recent experience. But it was memorable and I often wish I had the opportunity to return. The menu was superb and catered well for a mixed, reasonably large crowd of varying tastes and appetites. My soup (with prawns... More
