Sydney based people tend to be extremely fussy about their brekkies and we are not really different. We ventured to well-recommended MART during our long weekend in Melbourne and our experience exceeded all expectations. Owner Richard Anstey makes first timers as welcome as the numerous frequent diners at this hidden gem that is beautifully located in Middle Park, a short... More

This is a very special restaurant which located just right next to the tram track. Just take tram 96 that head to St. Kilda Beach and alight at Middle Park. You will see MART next to the tram stop. We came here for brunch. 4 of us ordered 3 meals and shared. Meal portion is relatively big for us but... More

This was once the best secret in Melbourne but my most recent visit with friends indicates that the secret is now out. We had to wait 25 minutes for a table on a Sunday morning. We were able to order a coffee while we waited, so not a huge deal, and the food is superb once you're seated. Terrific atmosphere,... More

Sunday morning in Melbourne. Lets go find a café that we haven't been to before. Ok, Mart 130 in Middle Park.!! It was a bit confusing to find because the map said it was behind the hotel when in fact it is across the road in the old Tram stop. Not very well signed at all. That being said when... More

Snr for brekkie on a Sunday morning. Told it would be 15 but it was 30. Scored the nice big table outside for having to wait too long. Menu is varied... There's the standard breakfast stuff then things that are a bit different... Chorizo stew being one.. Takes 15 mins to get a coffee though... Far too, long. I get its... More

I love this place, I love this place, I love this place. *jumps around like an excited three-year-old* Which cafe or restaurant actually runs out of the tram stop itself. Their corn fritters are to die for. Other things on the menu are pretty amazing tasting and generously served and would make the train ride really worth it. The staffers... More

This railway station restaurant is fun ( our English friends could not believe a restaurant at a working light rail stop. ! ) The meal was adequate - lacking a little in flavour & presentation but the staff made up for it with their friendliness & humour - was fun to talk to the chefs through the window - we... There are two options you can customise your corn fritters, one is with grilled bacon, another is with salmon. I chose the less expensive one. Lovely presentation! The crunchiness of corn dissolves in the softness of fritters. More review here: http://eatpraylove19.blogspot.com.au/2013/03/mart-130-vs-loose-caboose-cafe.html

I'm a regular at Mart 130 and each time we come it just gets better. It has, hands down, the best breakfast in Melbourne, made better by the fact it's done all day (perfect for the lazy weekend sleep ins!). It's not uncommon to have to wait outside for about 10 mins or so before getting a table, however it... More

Great food, great environment ! We made out way to Mart 130 because of Jinnyboy (Malaysian radio DJ). He featured the place in his Unfold2 short video. The place is right next to the tram stop, you cant miss it !Will definitely make my way there again the next time I am in Melbourne.
