I first went to this restaurant almost a decade ago as the atmosphere is always buzzing and the food straight out of Italy. Having recently returned to the area I returned for the first time in 9 years and it was as I had stepped back in time - the prompt service, vibrant buzz, extensive menu of pastas, rissotos and... Il Ciao is one of the best Italian Restaurant's we have ever eaten at. We have been visiting Il Ciaos now for around 10 years and it never disappoints. Living in Europe we can only visit every couple of years now when back in Perth and it is something which we look forward to every time and make a priority... More

I have been going to Il Ciao for over 15 years. The food delivered fluxes between good and great. But in an area with plenty of options, it is just hard work. I have wasted hours of time trying to get through on the phone, just pathetic really. It is quicker to drive down, order and wait. If you decide... More

Why does this restaurant have a takeaway menu when you can't get through on the phone. Very frustrating. Have tried on more than one occasion and the only reason we keep trying again is we have a voucher. It's too noisy to eat in. Willing to give up $200.

After going to this restaurant for at least 30 years we have noticed it is becoming quite expensive and the food boring. Our last visit with family had everyone not finishing their meals and complaining it was not up to the usual standard. Generally the il Ciao is great, tasty family food, good service and quick. I had the mussels... More

The fact that you have to queue to get in to this bistro on a Wednesday night shows how popular this place is. I do not frequent this place very often as I do not like waiting for half an hour to get a a table. I understand they do not take bookings yet friends/regulars? were just given tables ahead... More

Have been a regular (weekly) for over 10 years and in all that time have only had a couple nights where there was a hitch in food or service. Family run, this noisy, bustling little restaurant consistently delivers lovely home style Italian food, outstanding pizza's and friendly service - all at a very reasonable price. We love that you can... More

Although we have actually never eaten at this place we do take aways from there quite often. Their pizza's are the best in town and they are able to make even a take-away steak taste fantastic. Try it you will not be disappointed.

This restaurant has been around for many many years. Family run and great food, friendly staff, busy all of the time. Only take bookings for large groups so line up with the rest of us. It is a BYO. Great italian food, seafood, pasta, pizza and has some dishes for those who don't want pasta. Highly recommend. Average prices so... More

This place doesnt cater very much for vegetarians and I would recommend it if you want to have a good chat. It's very loud and the tables are so squished together you're almost dining with the person next to you. Staff were very friendly though.
