Have been to this restaurant many times with the family, it's a must every time We're all together in auckland. We used to live in shanghai and with out a doubt this restaurant is the most authentic we have been to outside of china. Amazing flavors and variations. The sweet and sour chicken is superb!
The food at Yi Pin Xiang is authentic, well prepared and delicious. This is a great place to go to try something different. Don't expect too much help explaining the menu though as speaking English is definitely not a pre-requisite for working here.
Nice Shanghai (Chinese) cuisine. They have a very good value lunch menu to get customers in the afternoon. Recommending the small fried buns (Sheng Jian Bao), the chicken dumpling soup and prawns with egg york. Good food and good location, plenty of parking. I find the food a tad salty sometimes though.
