A cafe we frequent when in Rotorua always. The food is amazing and the staff just lovely and knowledgable about their menu. Great Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Cuisine.
My wife decided it'd be a good idea to eat here. Bad mistake. Dingy, disorganised interior. The Falafel Lava had brown-edged lettuce on top, too much cheap dressing, falafel which was just too awful for words. The antipasto platter consisted of a selection of vinegar-flavoured tinned vegetables with the ever-ubiquitous dressing. Then the credit card didn't work. Thought the guy...

The staff were friendly but did not explain the dishes. We ordered a meze platter which we usually enjoy. However the hummus was very watery as were some of the other dips. The mixed grill was adequate but very dry. No accompanying sauce or salad dressing for. The lamb dish was a hearty, tasty meal.
This cafe is part way along Rotorua's food street so it is wall to wall restaurants. It's not easy to spot and looks very plain at first, but don't let that fool you. The seating and decor is simple, but the food is damn good.
My wife and I had two mains, two puddings and a bottle of wine, all...

As locals we often choose Cafe Ephesus for a casual, healthy and economical dinner out. The shared pizzas are great for any number of people, and the salads make for a healthy meal. Also good for teenagers who are a bit picky- can always find something they'll enjoy. Staff are always welcoming and we keep going back!
We ate here on a one night stopover in Rotorua. The menu appealed because they had something for everyone (we have two fairly fussy children) and we were seated outside. Soon after ordering, a waiter came out to our table to say we'd ordered too much food which we were pleasantly surprised at because they must get a lot of...

After completing a duathlon just felt like a mezze platter for lunch and wow did we find one here, best falafels ever and great dips. Will definitely return here next time in Rotorua.
Delicious food made with care. Everything tasted fresh, and the menu was interesting with lovely seafood choices. It was cheerful sitting outdoors, and the staff were attentive even though it was a very busy night. Only complaint was that they had run out of middle eastern deserts!
I had the sweet chili prawn pizza and was very happy with my decision. The crust is perfect and the flavor was spot on. The only reason they did not get five stars is the fact that the pizza was kind of shy on the toppings.
