Nice atmosphere but the food had way too many flavors and sauces going on. Food is very expensive but not very good.

Chef Jason sources local produce to deliver a small but outstanding menu complemented by local wines. The outdoor dining area is a plus and as is the tasting room.
The food was delicious, the service was very professional and it had a lovely atmosphere thanks to the open fireplace.
We stayed at the MVH and the accommodation is excellent in the middle of vineyards, highly recommended. The restaurant tasting starters ( we had scallops, salmon & ribs) were very good. Our main meal of Duck Leg was extremely salty and my wife could not eat hers, I think the sauce reduction had been over done? The waitress was very...

We stayed there as well as had dinner there one of the nights that we were there. Not worth the price as the food was just average. Especially with so many other places to choose from. We also stayed there during our travels and do recommend the hotel accomodations, but not the restaurant.
The Vintners Room is a casual dining restaurant with excellent service and wine list in the middle of the Marlborough wine region. The menu is not extensive but includes a number of New Zealand dishes, including fish and lamb. The food is well prepared and reasonably priced. The ambience is limited.
The restaurant is in a great location with views over a stunning courtyard. The meals were a showcase of Marlborough, with Salman, Scallops, local wines and fabulous fruit based deserts.
Prices ranges from tasting dishes ($10-$18) to main meals ($28-$36). Only minor negative was they topped up our water glass frequently but never once asked us for a refill of...

The menu is classic and simple - for entree we were offered a choice of clams and mussels with white wine, cream, bacon and Gruyere cheese (absolutely delicious; I could have licked the plate and almost did); pork terrine with pea puree and pickled mustard seeds;...

Stayed at the Marlborough Vintners Hotel for 2 nights. The Vintners Room is the hotel restaurant. We decided to eat early on Saturday night and booked a table for 6.30. Dining room is nicely laid out with a real effect gas fire at one end. As we had had a big lunch we just wanted a main course. Both of...

We didn't want an informal dinner so the choice of tapa's beside the fire place on a cold night was superb. Great food and service and value for money
