We had little choice but to eat here as Invercargill was closed the Saturday we visited. Bar was busy but food was mediocre. Could not recommend and would not return.

I had the lamb mains which was really good. It came with a mix of fresh and roast veggies and made for a lovely meal which is saying something as I am not that easily pleased. Quantity was Plenty without going over board. This was better than your average pub meal.
I love these places which are dotted around the South Island. Really nice decor and good vibe inside, they offer a great selection of ales, and at this one in Invercargill there was live music which was brilliant! Highly enjoyable place. Always rugby on the TV :)
The pile of ribs was HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Both our meals were very, very, very generous and we are quite large eaters. I wouldnt bother ordering an entree. If you cant finish it they will kindly put it in a container for you to take with you.

Loved sleights beer wished they sold it in the UK have become a convert. Loved the chicken and mango main course best meal I had in NZ.
Every time we go here we always have a great meal. there was plenty to eat on the plate and the atmosphere was nice and pleasant

Down stairs was busy so we went upstairs to their restaurant. It was hot and stuffy and we nearly left. Service was friendly and attentive. The menu was very interesting, however we had our heart set on some South Land roast lamb. Presentation was interesting, serving was generous. Plenty of sweet, succulent lamb. Roasted pumpkin was good but the spuds...
