The food was rather average. Good spicing and taste, but the steak was cold. There is not much love in this location, you can tell that it is a tourist location. Service is rather average, as well. It feels more like a money machine for the owner.

View only interrupted by the street. Breakfast was good. Huge pancakes with fresh fruits and mango syrup. and organic muesli fom the area. to be ordered inside.
We were fortunate enough to eat at Capers on their last night as they were closing until July for a massive revamp of the outdoor area to cater for all weather..The food was fantastic so were the prices the staff were great fun and on top of their game..would highly recommend this when they open again. Top Notch
We were expecting fine dining, in fact the recent North Queensland entertainment book lists Capers in the fine dining section. Unfortunately the service is no where near fine dining. Went to Capers for a quick breakfast. The food & coffee was nice. But the food was very slow in coming out which was disappointing, as there were only 2 of us & we didn't order anything particularly difficult about our orders.
We attended capers over the weekend having read mixed reviews on trip advisor. Overall, both the service and food were good. As previous reviews have mentioned there is a bit of a wait between courses, if they could shave 10 minutes off serving times it'd really improve things. Having said that, we wouldn't hesitate in attending again, the pork belly...

This restaurant is attached to the hotel but foesn't look lik it.We sampled some white wine before we bought a bottle, which is always nice when a restaurant lets you do that. Food was beautiful and service was great.
Arrived at Capers about 6.40pm on Valentines day hoping we might get a table without booking. We were told if we could leave before 8pm we could have a table till then. We agreed as it was still early.
We were told there was only a set menu , this came with champaign for two and a small box of...

We ordered the spring rolls and the bruschetta for entree. After waiting 45 minutes in a half empty restaurant we asked on the progress of our meals and the reply was they had somehow miss placed our order! So we ordered again with the promise they would be straight out. When the entrees arrived the bruschetta was passable at best...

On a very humid day what a relief to stumble on this bar restuarant. The service was fast and the food great. We'll eat there again.
