We stumbled across Das Alpen Cafe accidentally when looking for a bakery. The ambience, food and service in this restaurant were excellent. They had some good vegetarian options. Everything we ate was very tasty and reasonably priced. The server was friendly and we had a great evening.

The beer selection is great! The food was delicious, a whole new level for Rincon. The goat cheese tart is so yummy, I want the recipe. It is indoors, which during mosquito biting hours is actually a good thing. Plus the decor is very soothing and chic. I personally love a glass of proseco and the sauerbraten! The service is... More

Goulash and ravioli were fantastic. Totally enjoyed our evening here. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a change from seafood.

Our tour book suggested "a vacation from your vacation" and after a week in PR, that seemed a good idea to us. The beer list (including draft) is a breathe of fresh air. The service was great. We started with goat cheese tart and trio of bruschetta. Both were not overly flavorful, but all were good eating for sure. For... More

Great place to enjoy German & Northern Italian Food. The service was exceptional and the ambience was very pleasurable. The soup, the bread, the Kasseler Ripchen (German Smoked Pork Chops with Apple Sauce) and for dessert the Apple Strudel was delicious. Definitely you will not be disappointed!

Mmmm! Yummy! Who would think you would find excellent German food in this corner of Puerto Rico? But you do! We were four people who each tried a different dish and they were all outstanding! Choose any of the German dishes and you can't go wrong. And they also have an unusual, but excellent choice of beers! We would go... More

We wandered around town one Monday evening in search of an open restaurant. We were quite please to encounter this quaint restaurant on the town square. The food was outstanding and beautifully plated. The restaurant had a mix of italian and german food. The wine selection was also quite good. We enjoyed it so much we tried to go back... More
