Have eaten here for lunch and dinner. Both times were very good. Great views in the daytime and cosy with open fire at night. Found staff to be good.

Attentive welcoming service and good menu to choose from. Blue cod special was everything we expected and the whitebait omelette was very good despite initially being served with unordered sauce. Excellent choice of wines.

Being so tired we ate sparingly - lovely food with excellent service. We had been recommended the restaurant by our hosts and they were so right to send us there.

Staff were a little disorganised but friendly. Food was OK. Service a little slow but not that bad. Nice view across the bay.

It was a nice casual atmopsphere, with terrific local decor, especially after a flight from Australia, and a drive from Christchurch that day, so it was nice to relax. The restaurant has an award winning chef who serves a beautiful meal. Right on the waterfront.

We loved the food, atmosphere and aspect of our last evening meal in NZ and take away cheished memories.
