This is an amazing restaurant. We had 15 courses - think Mediterranean tapas (Greek-inspired). Starts small and builds to a crescendo, followed by 3 dessert courses. Our favorites: scallops two ways (seared and ceviche), rabbit liver mousse on grilled sourdough, grilled kid (baby goat) with homemade pita with a variety of condiments. Shared a wine flight -- the sommelier was... More

I was a little worried about going to Komi's for the first time. High prices, no menu, umpteen courses and various picky eaters (no shellfish me no raw fish for others). But the worry was misplaced. After asking once what we did not want to eat, each course was seamlessly tailored to our individual preferences. And what courses. The food... More

Yes, among the many dishes there were very good bites. But "surreal" and "over the top" as other stated? No. The hype sets expectations simply way too high - we have had more exciting and more consistent dinners than at Komi. Including in DC. So, do go, you'll have a good time, but ratchet down your expectations a notch.

some of the last reviews here are not very long and i can understand why...it's not very easy descibe to the experience here...quite surreal...lets just say the food is an out of this world experience...and if you can afford it then i would say go for it...just don't eat for two days before your bookings....

Don't Wait. Why wait. It's the very very very best. Each plate. Each bite. Each service is simply the best. Great locale. Great people. Great wine. we had our best dinner ever here. So will you. Make reservations. Make time. Celebrate life.

We had long wanted to go to Komi but getting reservations is always a problem but I called 30 days in advance, early, and snagged the last spot last Saturday night at 9:15. It was well worth the wait. It is hard to describe how wonderful this place is. We took friends to have an early wedding celebration for them... More

Johnny Monis is a cooking god. Out of 14 courses, 5 were among the best I have ever eaten, and another 6 were outstanding. There was a barley salad that was just ok. The fried donut was good but not great. But everything else was terrific. Standouts include: sea bream, rabbit mousse, spanikopita, bay scallop, and roast pig. The chocolate... More

I wasn't able to get through to the reservation line myself, but the wonderful hotel concierge was able to secure a reservation. Komi has no menu. You simply tell your server any dietary restrictions and let the kitchen do the rest. Dinner consists of a journey of culinary surprises. Small bites and courses that continue, but don't overwhelm. We left... More

Having dined recently with degustation at aria in Brisbane, Degustation in Prague, and Moto in Chicago. Komi outdid them all. $100 less over person than moto .( with wine pairing) and with an excellent parade of food this is one to recommend to anyone with the funds. Loved it.
