We had a quick dinner at the Lobster Trap. We ordered just smoked salmon & had a bottle of wine. The restaurant was busy but we got a nice table and enjoyed the simple dinner.

We had crab boils, grilled lobster, and clam chowder. Everything was incredible. Food and service far exceed my expectations.
Stopped for an early dinner and treated to a lovely local lobster accompanied by a beautifully fresh salad and fries. Staff are very friendly and welcoming and the place was recommended to be by some Catalina locals who know their lobster!
Busy place filled with locals Had a burger and fries - it was good. Waitress was very good and helpful Prices fair.
Really good food and great service. It's always busy when we go and never made to feel rushed. A must try when in the island.
Went the first night. Sat at the bar to get a quicker seating. Really enjoyed our server and the other guy behind the bar. I wish we had gotten their names. My husband talked soccer with the one while he worked. Food was fabulous so...we went back a second night. First night we had sea bass and cioppino. Second night we had lobster. Love that the lobster is caught locally when in season.More
This may be a little off the beaten path but it turned out to be such a GREAT find. Good food selection and taste. While it may be a little pricey IMHO, everything on the island is!
Tasty seafood just off the main drag in Catalina. We visited for lunch and had the clam chowder (more seafood than potatoes, which was a pleasant surprise), coconut shrimp tacos (on the dry side), and fish and chips. Fun cocktails and friendly, quick service. Tiny...restroom - hope there is not a line! Overall a good meal in a tourist town.More
I read excellent reviews about the restaurant,;however, the seafood spaghetti is not their fuerte, it had no variation of seafood and it was tasteless. The clam chowder was delicious! And excellent customer service
The monkey balls were good, the lobster sandwich & taco & fries were disappointing but the swordfish taco was good and so was the kona kens drink was good
This place was recommended in the same breath as the Bluewater Grill when we asked for recommendations from three people living on the island. We wanted top notch fresh seafood. The Bluewater Grill exceeded our expectations the first day, so we went to the lobster...trap our second day. The Lobster Trap was very disappointing. The service was ok. But the food wasn’t. It did not appear to be fresh, and the halibut was tasteless and on the dry side. The seafood combo had scallops, shrimp, cod and some type of white fish. The cod was ok, the rest seemed to be from a frozen bag. The baked potato was over cooked and seemed warmed up from the day before. We would never recommend this place. The Lobster Trap was the Lobster Crap.More
We expected fresh seafood but it was not despite the board outside listing fresh seafood options. The $30 lobster roll was not good, tasted like frozen meat, and the sea bass (also with a frozen flavor) was over cooked. The oysters were terrible and expensive....The sweet potato fries were good and the beers on tap were great. The staff is VERY nice but we do not plan to return for food, only beer.More
The bluefin tuna was delicious! Fresh veggies and a baked potato were perfect sides. I read a review that this was a reviewers favorite place to eat on the island. I can see why. A bonus is that the wait staff is awesome!!
We came here as the guy at the boat rental said they would clean and cook our catch, which ended up being not true. They said it was too much work, so we ended up giving our fish away to other angler later in the...day. The place doesn't take reservations and isn't that large, so we ended up having lunch at the bar. My husband had the fresh swordfish at the server's recommendation and I swear it tasted like chicken. I had the so-called "lobster bisque" that she said was made in house, and it was really bad. Like everyplace on Catalina, this place is woefully overpriced. If you're going to spend that much for mediocre food, you might as well go someplace with a view.More
This was absolutely the best meal we had in the 5 days we were on Catalina! The swordfish in my linguine seafood was so delicious, melted in my mouth like butter! The service was great and friendly! The walls were so much fun! Food was...so good, ate it all and forgot to take pictures!More
